We all had dreams and ambitions on what we wanted to strive to be when we were kids but it seems life can sometimes (if not all the time) get in the way as we get older bringing us to a harsh reality that perhaps dreams never do come true and leaving us with no choice but to give up on what we wanted to achieve.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an actor. Drama was my favourite lesson at school and I passed two drama courses at college. Why I gave up this dream job is because I learned to accept my limitations and be happy with what I have plus with me being Autistic, I doubt I would have been able to cope with the stress of the job.
What dreams and ambitions did you give up and why? |

If we give up on our dreams eventually those dreams give up on us.....
The dreams that we dare to dream really can come true,....sometimes.
So I'm dreaming still |

"Find a woman in my 20's, settle down, have my own house and family... Don't think that'll ever happen "
I was the same. I still live at home and have no intention of getting my own place. As for a woman, I'm not sure if I'll be ready for settling down yet but I hope to do so one day. |

I'm not much of a dreamer as I used to be. The harsh realities have shown me that without money, support and luck, my dreams will never flourish. |

Dreams change.. as a child I expected to be married with kids and a great job in a stress free life.. at that age I had no concept of mental health, serious injury and divorce.
Now dreams are based on much more realistic things. But no less important.

Why? You're 27, it might not happen before you're 30 but there's every possibility that it will at some point |
