never been in march but went 2 years running a few years ago and to be honest i wouldnt go again as the first time it was great and then the 2nd year wasnt great with a huge increase in the amount of beggars and drug peddlers..unless its been stopped since i wouldnt reccomend it |

again cant comment on the weather etc but depending on what you want when on holiday i found Albufeira to be a very 'English' resort with no a lot of Portugal to be found.
We went to Alvor which isnt that far away but was a lovely little fishing village in the day then at night all the pubs and restaurants opened up and had a good few nights out up there |

There's a decent waterpark not far inland, Splish Splash or something.
There's also a Sand Sculpture park close by that too, not sure how early in the season it opens, but there are some impressive sandcastle on show. |

As others have said would not go there much prefer futher up the coast.
Beaches are lovely and have never been in March before.
Places to visit Monchique da Calda, Silves and a bit of a drive Cape St Vincent - more days to explore and not commerical places.
Largos is good now and has a lovely harbour and night life. |
