"Was driving in Newcastle this morning and seen a guy with full sleeve tatts and guns driving a VW Beetle. That is NOT a car a guy should drive. Audi A1 is another.
Any more? "
Guys shouldn't drive in general, they should be at home not seen or heard, cooking me my dinner |

"Do you also think women shouldn’t drive big cars?
I like seeing ladies drive big Jag saloons"
I drive a big car typically considered a “man’s car”... the sort of bloke who thinks men can’t drive small cars is the same sort who tries to race me at the lights because their fragile egos can’t cope with women driving bigger and faster cars than them! |

Tractors should only ever be driven by women imo.....
I always want to slap tractor drivers and if you do that to guys they tend to think you want a fight..... |

If anyone is offended by me then I’m sorry I couldn’t give a fuck. " m
Good job I don’t give a fuck too when I burn off blokes like you when you try to race me! |

Is this because Beetle’s are a girl’s car, and men should only drive Men’s Cars because they are Men? And driving a girl’s car would make them less of a Man, or maybe a little bit gay?
If that’s what you meant, you should have just said! |

"Lol few months back a Black Bentley pulled into drive through Starbucks I was in .... car was filthy, he was a mid 20s chav in joggers
Wtf! "
Modern Bentley are chavtastic IMO. It's the 'footballer effect'.
All luxury cars suffer from temporary image issues when they reach an age that makes them "affordable" although honestly most image issues with cars seem to be based in jealousy. |

I (Mr) used to have a girlfriend who drove an Austin A40 with those flag indicators.
Whenever she drove it, it was all smiles from onlookers. When I drove it I got far more daggers from folk thinking I'm an attention seeking bastard. |

The continental GT can be picked up for about £17k, which if you pay off with finance is perfectly affordable to most people.
Running and maintenance costs are another beast though |

Chap I used to know is over 6ft tall and used to drive a 1970s mini. He had to take the back seat out his legs were do long
I think the OP comment is more about seeing people driving vehicles you tend not to expect, based on the way they look.
My hubby has nearly always driven vans. He used to have a long wheelbase transit. I often got surprised looks when I drove it, mostly from men. |

Well now that so much of the car is VAG it's not so bad. Just like any posh motor if you're good at DIY or have mates in the trade you can have a lot of motor for relatively little outlay! |

Totally agree, a 911 targa for example, get one over about 110k miles so it will have had the gearbox rebuild done and you’ve got a solid car with a beastly 3.6L under the bonnet putting out 315bhp for less than £10k |

Had both of the former cars you mention there. Loved them too (even though the TT tried to kill me a couple times) |

Same with the TT. Cost a fortune constantly putting it back together |

Mx5’s are amazing fun to drive. I think everyone who takes the piss and calls them a hairdresser’s car should actually get in one and have a drive, they’ll soon discover how fantastic they are! Hubby often borrow my car if he’s working and I’m not, he gets so much joy from driving her too.
We bought my first one, a mk2.5 Phoenix edition, after I’d had half a dozen driving lessons, drove on L plates until I passed my test. I remember hubby coming to collect me from work and ya sticking the L plates on for me to drive home. A bunch of guys on a pub crawl couldn’t believe I was learning in her and said how cool it was
My first one was sold for spares/repairs this week as she needs a heap of cash spending on fixing the rot that they’re notorious for. I now have a mk3 |

"Drive what you want I will give BMW's a miss
Rear wheel drive can be tricky. Safer for you to stick to front wheel drive. "
Rear wheels are for driving. Front wheels are for steering.
Anything else is for shopping.
(Though I too will steer clear of BMW's/ Plenty of decent RWD cars out there) |

"I also love the shape of the Z3 & Z4 Coupes, I just get the impression they'd be money dredgers upkeep wise"
Nope far from it my z3 2.8 is good on fuel (low 30s), reliable, cheap to tax and insure... It's an excellent car. Z4 being based on e46 architecture have a few more niggly issues but still not what you'd call a money pit by any stretch of the imagination.

This can join the threads from the other week about what clothes men should wear. Who cares so much about these rules about what we can and can't do?
It's really sad that people aren't just living their lives as they wish. |

What a strange thread. It's a great measure of a person if they have pre- conceived ideas about such an unimportant thing in life such as what car a male or female should drive |

It was a light hearted thread that some snowflakes seem to have tried to make out as offensive. It’s quite comical reading some comments |

"Suzuki cappuccino"
I wanted one when they came out, until I saw the size of it in the show room. Thought they were mx5 size.
I think fiat made something similar? |

Since you are on a swingers site, how many of these cars rate for having sex in them?
If I had 4 wheels, I think it would be a big camper van with a big bed and a bar, a toilet, and curtains

Bentley Contintals can be had for 25k now so not that big a deal nowadays, they've depreciated massively. |

As long as it doesnt have eyelashes on the headlights, they can drive anything.
Nobody should be allowed to drive any car with eyelashes, unless they are dressed like Penelope Pitstop. |
