I just want to know why alot of people are dead set against winks, I mean they were put on this site for a reason. The way I see it it's a quick way of letting someone know your interested. I mean sometimes you will write a big lenghthy message which has had a lot of thought put into it only for you to not even get a polite no thankyou. |

Cause I get so many in a day that I don’t bother checking them. I’m not against them, they’re just useless for me. If I’m interested in someone, I’ll message them. |

I get plenty of new messages to check, as well as replying to people I know who are chatting . It says on my profile not to bother winking, cos if I checked out them too, I wouldn't have a life other than fab.
And when I open my filters if I am helping with an event ( August) or organising a social ( September) then it's madness  |

See if I winked at someone and they winked me back I would think that's an indication the attraction was mutual. But I would be the one messaging and I wouldn't expect the other person to message first |

I do wonder if many people struggle to initiate a conversation and a wink is a way of avoiding that. |

I've had several meets off the strength of a wink - including one from someone who clearly stated on their profile that under no circumstances would they ever respond to a wink.
There's no rules on Fab - just guidelines |

I actually prefer a wink to a message, opening messages are so bland mostly that I just delete them (sorry).
But if I get a wink I check out the profile and then get in touch if I fancy it x |

We don’t get many so we’re happy to view, wink or message back or delete or in some cases block and delete!

I wink at people and don’t get any response. I can send some people a thought out, lengthy message, but I don’t get any response. But, if I get a wink, I’ll message them back, thanking them, even if I’m not interested. I also reply to every message I get. I think that it’s just polite.
I know some people will get a lot, but if someone has taken the time to put a proper message together, not just a ‘fancy a fuck’ then it’s polite to reply. Even if it’s just a quick ‘not interested’. |

I prefer winks to unsolicited messages tbh and say this on my profile .... depending on where they are (again I say this on my profile) I check out their profile and if I want to chat to them I wink back!
A wonderful thing without any hassle ... saves much time for all! |
