I'm no bbw but I'm no skinny minny either...

Although I have been both i am now more than comfortable with my size and appearance.. although my recent weight loss caused my boobs to shrink a bit they are still a handful

"Normal" bodies on women are just great. I like a natural woman, not a Photoshopped fantasy from a magazine.

I wish there were more "normal" strippers instead of glamorous women who fit the preconceived mold. I had a lap dance in a club from a lady who was, frankly, overweight, but she was sexy as hell. I asked her if she ever got criticised for being larger and she said no. I said I wished there were more women like her at clubs because she looked amazing and she said "I hear that ALL the time".

I'm a couple of stone heavier since having my little one last year, definitely have a mum bod but trying to take it for what it is and just get on with it!

I am working to lose the weight though as I was a lot more confident with my body before!

I understand your sentiment and see it so much in my friends, who shall I say “are skinny as” and always worrying about how they look. The media has a lot to answer for in how both sexes view themselves and others.

I’m comfortable with my “mum bod”, we are who we are now for a very special reason, our kids !

For me, one of the most pleasantly surprising things about Fab has been the number of men saying lovely things about my body. I feel more confident now as a wobbly size 14-16 in my late 40s than I ever did when I was 8-10in my 20s.

Is that because Fab is a forum that encourages appreciation I wonder? As opposed to "normal" life where everyone has to pretend they only find their partner attractive?

We all need to stop holding up the rare media standard of what women are supposed to look like and comparing ourselves to it.

Those models simply don’t represent the vast majority of women, most are androgynous and that look is not only genetically rare but needs work to keep it to modelling ‘standards’.

Do I qualify? I never know

I'm super skinny but still have the extra skin, stretch marks and scars.

I'm proud of my body for what it's been through but sometimes it gets to me. People never seem to understand that you can be skinny and insecure too.
