After doing my dissertation on Remembrance, I noticed a lack of academic documentation surrounding the subject. Even when it came to public media, the actual tradition of remembrance has very few prominent documentaries around the history and social impact of the tradition. I’m toying with the idea of creating a documentary on Remembrance and explore its history and the impact it’s had on British Society since the first remembrance services held in November 1919. Would this be something people are interested in watching? |

I would be..
Last year in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday in my town, small cards began to appear by houses and places that used to be houses, with the names of the men who went to war..and also whether they came back or not..it was very poignant to read and of course it had so much more impact than just reading the names on the memorial.. |
