Can run faster than humans on land , swim faster than humans in water , which means the bicycle is your only chance of beating a hippo in a triathlon |

Hippos cant swim, they walk along the bottom. They can hold their breath for a very long time though. Also their skin is a an inch thick and will stop low calibre small arms fire. |

Over short distances only. Thank goodness.
Hippos are very territorial and protective of their young. Otherwise very peaceful.
Beautiful creatures! |

They kind of run along the bottom, it's great to watch, unless they're running after you.
Pygmy hippos are lovely, not sure if they're as fierce as full size ones.

I mean who in the hell invented a game that takes 30 minutes to set up and 05 bloody seconds to loose at.. And even worse if they "try to help" back off boyo! |

Hippos aren't fierce They are very placid. I've seen fishermen fishing meters away from them. I've kyaked right next to them.
The problem with hippos is they make awesome paths through the reeds to the waters etc. The locals use those paths. Like I said Hippos are VERY territorial! |

"And kill more people than any other animal in Africa!
I think the mosquito may refute that claim?"

But 53.7% of deaths by Hippo are down to traffic accidents, as they can't operate the brake very well with such large feet- so those don't count |
