"What makes a good profile that may generate some interest"
A good profile is not too long and not too short.
It has paragraphs to make it easier to read and tells you about the person who has put up the profile including likes and dislikes.
It should come across as friendly and very much about a real person. And finally it should have a few pictures but not necessarily cock shots.
Well that is what we look for.
