so i'm looking on ebay at dresses and somehow ended up looking at wedding dresses purely as i couldn't get over what good bargains there was to be had on there
but it got me thinking about what sort of dress i would have if i was to get married now
when we married 23 years ago i wore leather and lace and mr b wore denim and leather which was just exactly how we wanted it neither of us was into getting all poshed up but then also we were 18 and 19 at the time and i think if we did it now we would go for more traditional dress although i'm certain it would be with a twist
it was a very simple wedding at the register office then on to a relatives pub for a bit of a buffet with family then in the evening we went to our local pub with friends it was perfect for us and i still couldn't see us doing the traditional style of wedding if we got married tomorrow
i think i would theme it maybe a 50s rock n roll theme as i love the glamour of the style of clothing of the 50s although i love the hair of the 40s so i might use a little artistic licence and have a bit of fusion lol
ooo you could really have fun with it i guess
maybe i should start dropping hints about vow renewal
so how about you would you choose a traditional wedding or would you like something a bit different
if you are already married do you think you would do it differently now to then? |

This is hypothetical as there is no chance im getting married BUT if jay and i got married it would go like this.
It would be in the springtime, the only guests would be immediate family(about 12 people) i would have a very simple dress but classy. No frills. I would carry a little basket full of daffidils and have spring flowers in my hair. We would have a quick official wedding in the local register office. But then we would go to rutland water and have a blessing at my favourite spot there. It would be followed by a luxury picnic on the banks of the water.
For the honeymoon, i would like to go to a little log cabin for a week, with no television, mobile phones or computers and just spend the whole week with us and nature |

awww now that sounds just perfect
i've always said it should not be about the wedding it should be about the marraige, sadly too many get hung up on having all the frills they forget why they are doing it whereas yours sounds absolutly idylic to me so intimate its beautifull |

Sadly to many concentrate on having "the special day" the wedding is one day, the marriage hopefully a life time. I kind of did the traditional thing althoug i got married in a register office and was pregnant. But with hindsight, organizing it and the cost i would of just gone away and done it. Its you and your partners special day not trying to please everyone else |

Big dresses dont do anything for me, it would have to be something very simple, just plain silk with maybe swarvski crystals on it or something. I dont know but it wouldnt be a puffy out dress. I think they look lovely, just not my style |

I cannot see myself going down that road again, however, if and when I do, it will be something classic and classy in fuchsia/cerise as the main colour.
