I’m a dog person. But I wasn’t until I got my own. I always wanted a kitten.
When we moved into the house we live in now, hubby said we could get a kitten. Good, because I didn’t want a dog.
Then he changed his mind and said ‘aw if only you wanted a dog!’
Well I called his bluff. And now we have four dogs. And we got them all within a year. |

And I still want a kitten, nearly had him convinced but now we’re having a baby and he thinks it would be too much |

They’re only wee - we got Benji (our chihuahua x pug) first. Then when hubby was on the toilet I phoned a man about buying a pug. Hubby couldn’t protest much from the bathroom, so I agreed to buy him. So then we got Draco
About half a year later I messaged Benji’s original breeders asking if they were going to breed again within the next few years. They weren’t sure (they were just an old couple bless, but Benji is such a beautiful and loving dog that if I wanted another, I’d want one like him).
She then phoned and said her mother in law had two of Benji’s aunts (his mum’s sisters) and the MIL had been neglecting them so can we take them. So we got Trixie and Tina (they’re now Lily and Luna). Both extremely fat, poor Lily couldn’t even walk - her belly dragged on the floor and she bum shuffled everywhere. Their claws were so long they curled in (Lily’s still do, so we have to cut them every week) and all they ate was chocolate biscuits for humans, muffins, crisps etc.
Luna is now a perfect weight, Lily is still curvy but she’s five, I doubt she’ll lose much more.
I love them |

"Cats rule, dogs drool.
What kind of a person are you?"
Agreed. My cat is the purfect pet. Hes low maintenance, gives me love when I'm down or in need and he goes outside and poops in someone else's garden (No mess to clean). He's not too needy and comes and goes as he pleases. And I know he'll always be there for me when I need some comfort. |

Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that *they* are gods.

He adores them, they worship him. They are in their late 70's and he has brought a lot of joy to them. He 'visits' me for food if they are both out |

My two cats are sat either side of me right now, snoring away.
I kind of inherited them when someone died suddenly (no, they hadn't tripped over the cats!)
I was in two minds about taking them in but three years later I'm so glad we did.
They're a pair of dafties and give us so much fun and entertainment.
I'd love a dog, but I'm not really home enough. |

Dogs rule.... I have a crazy 10 week old puppy I keep wondering what I've done .
I also have a cat that I inherited she isn't very affectionate.
And I keep killing fish... But my tank is pretty |

So you’re saying the puppy is more than a handful, and you’re wondering where it gets it from? Hmm. |

I love them all. I only have cats and a gerbil though because it wouldn’t be fair to leave a dog on its own all day whilst I’m at work. It would get lonely and my cats are twats and would probably beat the dog up, egged on by the gerbil no doubt |

He's way more than a handful
He's a little poop machine with sharp teeth |

"I prefer cats over dogs but love both. Personally prefer rodents as pets though. But then I have a pet rat so may be biased.

Rats!? Woah."
Yes I love rats. I only have one currently because the rest passed away. But they are great pets.

I’ll take your word for it. Do rats get a undeserved bad wrap then? All went downhill after the plague |

I love animals but am crazy about cats and have two as well as a gold fish. I recently rescued a retired racehorse so my husband has now banned new pets ?? |
