Before life revolved around the internet we met in bars and through friends.. my first long term partner could barely write, but I didn't find that out until well over 6 months in, because it never came up. Still one of the most intelligent, kindest people I've been lucky enough to know.

I just assume it's normal to use a few abbreviations for the sake of brevity, but find it a little odd when people over about 25 do it.
I guess also some people use it to imply a friendly familiarity. Ultimately if I judged all my potential sexual partners on their overall text skills and literacy over their other qualities.
Not everyone is 'wordy' and I know my loquacious verbosity isn't for everyone either... |

I don't mind if certain things are abbreviated or shortened but when all words are shortened it makes me lose interest, I enjoy full on and intelligible conversations. |

Well I'm still talking to her.... She's managed a full sentence thats almost none text speak . .
She's asking stuff which is different from any other woman I've spoken too usually it's me being the inquisitor.

Had a similar scenario myself on Tinder. It really doesn't do it for me at all, so much chemistry and connection is built up through good communication and an ability to communicate well with a prospective partner.

I honestly can't even cope with text speech. It makes me feel like I can't even converse with the person.
If you like her otherwise though then it wouldn't really bother you that much. |
