I would say it is, especially now in modern times where sugar can be found in most of the foods, whats your view?

Yes but I believe sugar substitutes are worse. I’ve looked into this an awful lot as I have a child with ADHD and I wouldn’t touch diet/reduced sugar anything ever! No diet drinks in this house

If that would be truth I would be climbing walls, having about 10 coffee's a day 4 sugers each

Yes but you’re special

Give me a slice of chocolate cake and I’m happy. Give me the whole cake and I’m climbing the walls.

It's a well known fact that aspartame is actually worse than sugar with greater potential side effects. Why its commercialisation is still permitted boggles the mind

Well suger is sucrose (disaccharide) which is easier to digest and burn by human body, compare that with wheat or rice containing starch (polimeric carbohydrate)

It would suggest its better to eat suger instead of bread.

Seen in far off places

Generally, the amount of sugars one consumes in their hot drink can act as a barometer of their intelligence / social standing / demographic.

It may explain why so many Jeremy Kyle Show guests had very little teeth...

Once upon a time sugar was just bad for your teeth. Now it's blamed for a whole host of medical and social issues. It seems to me the 'go to' response to avoid delving too deeply into what really might be their cause.

Shag, as someone who lives on Haribo which if you’re consuming the Tangfastics are particularly riddled with sugar, let’s ask you - how hyperactive are you?

According to my heart rate data sugar increases my resting heart rate by 10 up to 20 bpm

So yes it does have a metabolic effect, I dont get the same response from protein or fats

Central

ADHD - if that's the type of issue you're referring to Shag, as it can contain elements of hyperactivity? (depending on the presentation of ADHD that someone has), isn't sugar related.

Our diets do influence our health, wellbeing and behaviour, to some extent. There were thoughts some time ago that ADHD was linked to sugar but the vast amount of research that we now have shows that, whilst it's a complex condition, potentially with multiple causes, one of the greatest reliable influences is genetic and not sugar.

Parents often don't manage their childrens' behaviour that well and there's likely been increases to the amount of public behaviour where respect for others is diminished, whilst people believe in their supreme need for personal gratification of whatever, as their sole focus of importance. Sod whoever is around and who may have experience people who affect them.

Medical hyperactivity is actually something medical ie hormonal, reactionary hyperactivity is something chemical ie an allergy or diet then left is self inflicted (sugar) hahahahahahaha only joking

To a degree, yes. But e numbers are probably worse, and e numbers are probably found in sweets and sugary drinks more than any other type of food. I know someone who used to eat a lot of sweet stuff, but it was only red sweets that set her off, and she would be bouncing off the walls after eating something containing this red e-colouring. It was a lot to deal with
