For a female, I believe live yoghurt on a tampon helps. But yeah, see a dr

Live, natural yogurt,it's got to be live yogurt, ordinary natural yogurt won't help.

Apply to the affected area several times a day. If the affected area can't be easily reached an over the counter tablet might help. If none of that works see your doc but good luck getting an appointment within the next three weeks

Fight yeast with yeast, crack an egg on it, sprinkle it in baking powder and self raising flour and gas mark 6 for twenty minutes, ice to taste, add a candle and bobs your uncle's birthday....!

Exactly, burying your head (no pun intended) and hoping a natural remedy will cure it is fraught with trouble

From a pharmacy students point of view if it's pretty bad you might want to consider going to a GUM clinic or your GP. Wouldn't recommend just leaving it. Pharmacists will offer advice and/or creams and so on to you help out if you do ask. Canesten thrush cream will give you immediate relief if you put it on though.

Naturally get yourself to a GP. The plus side is that the treatment will probably need to be applied three times a day. Usually the medication, is in a cream based, topical product! Self medicating never sounded so good. Don’t forget to wash your hands!!

And id also tell her to go to the doctor. I’ve heard horror stories of people thinking they have a yeast infection and it’s been something worse. Unless you’re 1000000% sure it’s a yeast infection, see a doctor

Thrush is reasonably common, some people are prone to getting it, canesten cream is always a good option but best to seek medical advice.

So unless you know its definitely thrush then please go to your local GU clinic they will be able to rule anything else out and tell you pretty quickly if it's candida.

If you know it's thrush then go to your local pharmacy for fluconazole and some clomitrazole cream

Home remedies soothe they don't get rid

NEVER put yoghurt anywhere near your vagina! It won't cure yeast infection, it contains the wrong type of lactobacilli that is beneficial for thrush

Is it ok to use large amounts of strawberry or cherry yogurt then licking it all clean?
