"Off the back of another thread..

Panties..and moist
These two for me too and the C word. Can’t even type it!
That’s the reason you stopped short of calling me one? "
Haha!! I think I said it once when I was referring to a certain politician and everyone was like OMG that sounded so funny coming from you, say it again, please say it again |

There and to the left a bit |
I can remember two instances where I visibly cringed at words used, both in an office environment...
The first was in a lift, where one of the other occupants was chatting to a colleague and said the text speak word "Obvs" out loud
The second was when someone was thanking a female colleague for some work she'd done to help him out and he said "You're a hero" and she replied totally straight faced and said "I'm not a hero, I'm a she-ro" |

My lovely staff sent me a link to a website of 40 words or phrases you shouldn't say once over the age of 40. If think "obvs" was one of them. I had never said it before in my life until they made me say them all and spent 30 minutes pissing themselves at the fact I hadn't heard of half of them and didn't understand most of the rest. Some I didn't even know how to pronounce!! |

It's bad enough that "obvs" exists in text speak but to actually say it out loud is beyond cringeworthy regardless of your age.
I've also heard people say "lol" out loud too - which is just as bad - why not just f***ing laugh?! |

There’s only one correct usage of ‘obvs’ and that’s ironically. |

How do you even say this without sounding like an idiot. Know what it is, seen it written down, but never heard anyone say it. I must be moving in the wrong (or right) circles "

""Hash tag" yes, somebody in the office keeps saying that
"Love" (when using it instead of the name)
"You're a star"
And absolute worst "madam"
Mrs
Ah I love the word Madam... "
Well I know I'm not 20 anymore but when someone refers to me as "Madam" it just makes me feel like I'm 70.
Disclaimer: nothing wrong with 70 but I prefer to live in denial and think I'm 25.

"Frock...
Haha what about a posh frock?
Anyone who uses that word can seriously frock off..."
I make them sounds better than dress which I always associate with right and left |
