"When you read a post do you have a different voice you imagine belongs to that person?
Or, you can just ascribe a voice to the person above. "
Funny enough I just read your post in the voice of a pipe fitter from Barnsley. |

Your location just reminded me of the song 'Goin up Yonder'
Great song that
Anyway, turns out everyone here speaks just like me |

I imagine you to have a proper Brummie twang.
If I know the person's voice I can't unhear it but I do add moods and tones to their voice. |

"I wonder how people perceive my voice to be like
Ahh! I think you'll probably have a quite well spoken accent and a fairly low voice for a woman? Not squeaky. "
Well spoken and quite low I reckon

Apparently I don't, most people can't place my accent other "Midlands somewhere"
I imagine you to speak very, very quietly. |

Is that because most people just blob all of the Midlands together like Fab?
I do speak quietly. And really calmly. All the time. |

I don't have a broad Brummie accent but it is a little monotone I suppose. |

Yeah, but you give us colours. It would be overload to do the voices too. "

What do you mean by colours just are? Does each poster have a different colour? Apologies if they are daft questions. |

I have synaesthesia. I experience words and names etc as colours and sensations. I don't ascribe the colours or feelings they just "are".
Some people experience music as intricate patterns
I honestly thought everyone was like this until my early 30s |

My memory for nonsense is excellent and helps me call out the inconsistencies on here and spot the patterns. |

Me too.
Although i’m not great at identifying accents, so in my head people from Exeter and Cornwall sound like they could be from Bristol.

I do wonder how some people here sound and ascribe voices to some, including Lickety. Always based on flimsy bits of info or when someone has added something amusing. I'd suggested we add a quick sound of ourselves a while ago but it wasn't popular. Some may get identified from it etc.
For the record, my accent is fairly neutral and I'd be a good chat line operator, whilst men wank to my slow feminine times. I can always help people to relax, whilst they listen to me.

What do you think I sound like?
I've always given you a low whispery voice with a hint of posh Midlands.

I have an American friend who I met at online and because of how she texts and looks I always assumed she had a deep, low, slow voice. However irl she's super fast and squeeky, a bit like Micky Mouse.....
....when she texts me now I still hear it as slow and deep....
