I suffer from chronic pain & neuropathy and am on different types of pain meds but none seem to work well and have side effects. A few people have said to try CBD oil but I’m worried about doing so. Has anyone got any experience of it? Thanks |

CBD oil has little to no THC in it so taking it won't get you stoned. Nor is it illegal.
The side effects of CBD oil are minimal and akin to those of any other over the counter drugs.
If you're really unsure then seek pharmaceutical advice.
From the experiences of those I know who have taken it for trouble sleeping and pain it all depends on the quality and dosage you take.
It's brilliant for reducing DOMs and fatigue if you're a gym goer aswell.
Hope you find the help you're looking for. |

Thanks for the info, I have fatigue as well. I’ve been waiting 3 months to go see someone about pain management I’m too embarrassed to bring it up with my doctor. I heard the one you can buy on the high street is very weak so are there reputable places online? |

It's being touted as the latest cure all, and I do know some people who swear by it. Whether that is just placebo or not, who knows. Clinical studies such as they are so far don't seem to show much evidence.
There is little or no regulation though, afik, so what you get will vary widely depending on where you buy it from.

It does work but if you’re in a job where you’re randomly D n D tested you need to check with your employer as my friend got a cream just from Holland and Barrett and it wasn’t allowed. |

It's illegal to import CBD oil so all these shops that have recently sprouted up selling it are evading the law or selling hemp based CBD oil which is a bit different.

Thanks I’d not thought of that as you can buy it over counter. |

I've no experience of it but I would want to know very clear details of what I was buying and how it compared to any similar substance that's been subject to good scientific research.
Producers and retailers will be unable to make apparent medical claims for the products, as these will not be licensed medicines. Comparable substances may still have undergone good research though, so - as it's important that you preferably get a product that gives you great relief - you'd ideally start with something that's got very high potential to really help you.
As with many new product types, there are often hundreds of products that enter the market, all with seemingly the same to offer: sadly, there are often more unscrupulous outfits who are happy to trade on the high volumes of people who don't have great expertise, who may inadvertently buy their stuff. |

Yeah apparently comes up in the test! He’s a train driver and it’s obviously instant dismissal so definitely worth checking! |

Some of the meds I’ve been given gave me hallucinations and spaced me out but they’re ok to take while working lol |

That's strange to read as it was amongst other reasons, legalised for people partaking in the Olympics so it doesn't present as a drug, which it's not. |

I have lower back pain, I wouldn't call it chronic but some would, I live on daily painkillers and have now started to have to take additional over the counter pain meds as well, some days I am fine but some evenings like tonight, I am struggling (I am also on the wine lol) Is it worth giving this CBT oil a shot to see if it helps? |

Whilst anything of substance is still being imported, as this country exports it out, you'll have to pay around £50-£500 dependant on the % of CBD content, a small bottle would last about 21 days so do the maths on the longevity of taking it. Until we go through prohibition and it gets resolved it's going to remain at ridiculously high prices. |

I’m the same in the airlines, lots of medications I can’t take whilst flying and can be subjected to random drug tests. |

So are you saying the adverts I have seen offering it around £10 a bottle is not worth trying and is false advertising?
I would love to have just one full day a week of being pain free as I honestly cannot remember when that day was. |

Miss here,
Suffered with severe chronic pain and fatigue ... CBD oil as the one thing that actually helped without the side effects.
My honest opinion after being thorough pain management multiple times and still being in agony and maxed out on conventional medicines is it's worth a go.
Depending on your preference you can get balms, creams, bath bombs, vape "juice", CBD oil capsules, plain CBD oil And CBD bud.
Each method of ingestion has its bonuses.
All legal but make sure you get them from a reputable source and that the products are lab tested for content.
I buy mine from CBD Brothers direct from their website.
Lots of choice and you can get sample sized products.
I learnt alot from joining Facebook groups.
Just as a side note why are you embarrassed to ask your GP?
Surprised at the comments about D testing - it's legal.
Prehaps getting it on record at your GP practice might assist and obv declaring it prior to said tests.

I didn't say that, no..for £10 you'd get hemp. Read up on what you're wanting to consume. You'll save in the long run. |

Are you able to point me in the direction to do some more research as I will admit, I haven't really done much, as I thought it was just a gimmick really and didn't take it as a serious solution. |

Someone further up mentioned CBD Brothers, I prefer Royal Queen Seeds, for my nan who has Parkinsons, also Google is your friend. It's like anything new to market, it will be exploited, so best to stick to those who have been in the business for years/decades. |

"[Removed by poster at 02/06/19 21:19:52]"
I bought mine in an electronic cigarette shop.. They were selling cbd vaping liquids, drops for under your tongue and even .
The looked, smelled and tasted exactly like which would get you stoned.. But it had the chemical taken out of it which causes people to get stoned. |

I've vaped CDB oil (NO THC) because people said it helped with pain and migraines. I had no relief from it at all but I know a lot of people who swear by it.
I did know a guy who'd come to the shop to collect the cbd for his wife who had MS. she couldn't leave the house. After a few weeks she made it to the shop. Started telling everyone how amazing it was.
Try it. If you're already on pain meds there's nothing to lose really. |
