"The Bedfordshire Clanger, sweet one end and savory the other.
I might have to try one of those are they in bakery's ?"
I believe they are only available commercially at Gunn’s bakery in Sandy/Bedford/Biggleswade but there are loads of recipes on the web if you Google |

"My home county was the birthplace of hp sauce and is known for producing Stilton.
Nottinghamshire ? Isn't there some kind of argument going on over the village of Stilton and the cheese ?"
Yep! Stilton can only be called that if it’s produced in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire or Derbyshire. I believe that there are only a handful of dairies licensed to make it and they are mainly in the vale of belvoir |

"Devon Cream Tea.
Remember folks, cream first for Devon, jam first in Cornwall.
:,)"
I am probably going to start a war, or at least a minor skirmish and be blocked by the whole of the south west, but I have never got this. Surely tastes the same whichever way you add the cream and jam, or jam and cream?? |

The jam has to be on first so you can spread it evenly otherwise you just have a blob of jam on top of the cream. |

"Cut the scone in half, put cream on one half, jam on the other and put them together.
Now depending on which way up you hold it you've got the best of both "
But surely it is better to eat each half separately to get double the quantity of jam and cream |

"Wrag puddings
What the chuffing eck is that ?"
I think it’s beef, suet pastry wrapped in wrag (clean pillow case usually) then boiled. Usually served with gravy. Oldham born & bred, grew up on the things |
