LOVE.....Is it real?

As someone who has never been in Love I'm rather sceptical about the concept. Love at first sight? Is that more lust than love though? How can you love someone at first sight? What if they are a nonce? You still going to love them?

Growing to love? Isn't that just someone you see often you get along with and become accustomed to having them around you? I think Love is a poor word to describe it. I think familiarity is more accurate.

Just my thoughts.

If you have never experienced it you aren't really qualified to diss it

Don't search for love. It can't be found.

It's something YOU feel. It transcends your own needs.

Unless it's self love

Never experienced forced sex but I'm sure I can diss that. You don't need to experience something to critique or talk about it.

I was refering to romantic "love" see English is very poor because it has 1 word to describe hundreds of different types of love, which proves my point that love is a bad word to describe it

Cheshire

I fell in love over the phone, with a girl who was sarcastic, a bit silly but mainly sounded fun. When I finally met her, she is a little ball of fun. Her smile and especially her laugh, used to make me go warm all over, the way her eyes smiled I just wanted to look at them all the time.

Very rarely angry but even that seemed cute.

Yes I’ve been in love, smiling at the memories, I eventually lost her but the reason I know it was true love ?

Because we are still Facebook friends, she is happily married and I’m happy for her. For me real love means you want what’s best for the other person, and their happiness matters.

I feel sorry for anyone who has never felt it, the heartbreak was hard but it was worth it, whilst it lasted

It’s real, if and when it happens, you’ll know then. It’s not something you can explain. Lust is something much less.
