Spotted as I’m reading a lot of messages and profiles atm. I don’t mean typos. Hopefully this thread can act like a spelling list for those who require assistance or care about such things.
IMHO it’s your and you’re. |

"There and their
It’s not just on here that these words are used in the wrong context, I come across it on a daily basis during my work."
Yep me too. Perhaps I should collect answers and send a list to the Education Minister. |

How hard can it be?
For dyslexic people very"
Please do not feel I’m having a go at people with Dyslexia. Not the point of this at all. I’m really interested to hear from them too as to which words are the most difficult. |

Definitely (usually defiantly or even worse definately)
Dominant ("I am a dominate man")
Plenty of your/you're and they're/there/their errors
There have been messages where all I want to do is circle the errors and send it back with a C-, must try harder... |

I'm dyslexic, but you'd hardly notice on here, or any site I access via my phone.
Occasionaly I'll mistype a word and not notice.
My biggest issue is my phone recognising a word as something similar
Definitely, Defiantly.
Through, Though, Thought
Even simple words like - On, In, I'm, Come, Cone, Same, Sane
They're all in the same line with predictive text.
I think it's pretty obvious to the majority of people when reading anyone's forum posts where these words have slipped in, we're all typing quickly, often don't notice the error.
I gets right up my nose when a few chose make a big deal, point scoring, playground mentality about silly errors like that. |
