I’m just doing cheese on toast, is this the greatest savoury snack of all time, if there’s a better one I can’t think of it. It’s so Versatile and rewarding.
So is cheese on toast the best ever and what do you put on it, do you grate the cheese or cut into slices, then over lap slightly, like you’re turfing a lawn, so all the bread is covered ?! |

Ohhh yeah, cover all that bread with quite thick slices of toast, sometimes I add a cheeky bit of onion for extra savouryness, if I’m in a Davis may care mood I splash a bit of Lee & Perrin on it too |

Sounds delicious |

I love cheese so much, its what I miss most about not being able to eat dairy
Mature cheddar grated with sliced tomato and black pepper, or with mushrooms that have just been fried in butter,
Or, smoked wensleydale with a bit of mango chutney,
Or, gruyere with smoked salmon,
Or, smoked applewood cheddar and a bit of tuna and black pepper.....
Fucking dairy allergy |

Ohhhh, I just had cheese on toast. I slice the cheese into 2mm thick rectangles and pave them over the bready surface... I sprinkle with herbs and then put two thin tomato slices on top. I grill them just until the cheese starts to bubble.

I love marmite on first then grilling the mature cheddar and adding mustard or Worcester sauce before grilling...but interesting variations ty. |

Smokes applewood is my favourite
I like cheese on toast with some black pepper and worcestershire sauce.
Now and again I might throw in some bacon bits. |

I dislike cheese immensely, and yet I do find cheese on toast with ketchup awfully satisfying haha
1 word though, air fryer
Butter 2 slices of bread on all sides, add cheese with a good grind of black pepper or Worcester sauce if you fancy and essentially make a sandwich, then chuck it in your air fryer until the bread has become toasted.
Its the ultimate version
But truth. Beans on toast is far superior lol |

Please don’t mention cheese on toast definitely the best ever snack but since I have given up bread
Has to be really good strong cheddar and white sliced bread, the really cheap stuff ... well yummy and crisps on the side of course |

It did to me till I tried it, and now it's my favourite thing on toast.
