Ooh! I belong here

My first gig was Blur at Manchester Gmex aged 13 in 1995. I rocked cuordory flares and Adidas sambas and at uni would go every every Thursday to indie night at the Krazy House in Liverpool.

Oh I've been an indie lad for longer than I care to say. The Smiths were the turning point for me, absolutely loved them. Can't stand Morrissey and his bland rock these days and the less said about his politics the better.

Jarvis Cocker, the new single is as good as anything he's done. The new Cate Le Bon and Hayden Thorpe albums are ace...

Ps I'm not much of a chick x

My music collection is very 90’s indie heavy. I’m still an indie kid. My weekend was spent watching Jim Bob from Carter and I caught a glimpse of the aforementioned goddess Louise Wener

Ash, Mansun, Longpigs, Suede, Lush, Pulp, Blur, The Bluetones, The Wonder Stuff, Neds etc etc etc. During my move this week I spent far too much time reminiscing over my CDs.

One of the best gigs I ever went to was The Wonderstuff and it was in Brixton

I was around London in the times you could go to the Camden Palace and see bands before they made it. Lots of little venues had bands like Power of dreams etc

Astoria was a good place to go too

I was so sure I was going to marry Robert Smith at one time

The Venue in new cross on a Friday where bands played

I miss those days

I've just finished reading Jim's second biography, it's an excellent read although I'm possibly biased as I know so many of the people mentioned in it. He's such a nice guy and I'm so glad that he's finally getting success as a solo artist. Carter really were ducking brilliant

I loved the late 80s early 90s pre britpop music scene. Do many brilliant bands. Still an indie kid at heart!
