Has anyone else seen this programme?
They take every possession off the participants and each day they get to claim one thing back. It's basically to show them the things they actually need and prioritise.
If it happened to you what would you claim back in the first week and in what order? Bear in mind it's one per day so if you don't claim any clothing until day 3 then you'll need to do a lot of hiding!
(they were allowed to stay in their homes and were left with basic food also they weren't allowed to buy possessions if they claimed back their wallets). |

I should have specified it's one item at a time.
So you can't just say clothes or toiletries, you only get one piece at a time.
Also your house is completely bare apart from a little food. |

Sounds like a silly idea to take part in.
I can’t sleep with out pyjamas! So they’d be my first. I’d just have to put up with morning breath until day 3!

"Toiletries, including toothbrush and paste (can that be classed as 1 thing?)
Clothes
Phone
"
We'll let you off with toothbrush and paste but clothing is all separate.
Most of them claimed a onesie on the first day |

I love that your first thought is sleep
They don't even have beds! One girl slept in the bath on the first night. |

No beds? This is the worst place ever!
Bed
Pillow
Duvet
Definitely my first things to claim back. |

Wait....you have to claim your bed back as well?!
There’s no way I’m sleeping naked on carpet!
How long do people stay in this prison of no possession? |

21 days.
It does make you think, most of them were around 2 weeks in before they started claiming back luxuries like phones or make up. |

"Oh and another thing-their stuff is kept in a storage container around a 5/10 minute walk away and they have to collect the items themselves. "
I’m gonna have to spend my morning you tubing this! It just gets worse with every post |

Worth it |

"Phone
are you just gonna sit naked in your house with your phone?
You don’t lose your house?"
No you have your house and basic food items but everything else is removed. Even things like lampshades and curtains. |

There and to the left a bit |
If it were summer and warm - no problem with staying naked (assuming the walk to storage was not likely to result in arrest) therefore in this order:
(1) Practical shoes - that 10-15 minute walk could be painful without
(2) A book I haven't read - to keep me entertained and stave off boredom
(3) Toothbrush/paste - I couldn't forego that minty fresh feeling any longer
(4) Soap - would need to get clean by this point
After that would be practical things to make life simpler and probably based on the first 4 days experience and what I found I needed most.
Obviously if it were winter, something to wear would be the first priority and would replace the book. |

Oh. And they had to live their normal day to say life. So going to work etc.
One guy was allowed to get a lift because of the distance but the rest had to walk until they got back their car or money. |

"I'd ask for my bank card
Then ask a friend to go get what I needed to buy for me
You can't buy new possessions only consumables or services. "
I'd ask for a onesie then first
If its life as normal and we need to be out and about then might as well cover up so we arent arrested for indecent exposure |
