I don't mean this to sound negative but there isn't one. In the grand scheme of things we're pretty insignificant.
Personally though I keep going out of love. Because I want to give back what I get from those wonderful people in my life, I want them to be proud of me as I am of them so I strive to be a better person. |

I used to struggle with this massively. I think just being is enough purpose. I mean, nobody asks that of a sparrow, or a cat, or a tree (insert preferred organism here).
Depression made me feel like I was without purpose and therefore life wasn't worth living. Now I'm recovered I can experience little moments of joy all throughout each day and I no longer question the validity of my life. I'm here, that's it, end of. |

I have no idea. But I think it’s the little things, like the next brew, the next bike ride, the next great song song I haven’t heard. The next good band I’ve yet to discover. Finding a place I’ve never been to that I should go to.
With The alternative I won’t see any of that. But it’s only humans that think life has to have meaning, that’s down to ego, animals just get on with it. |

"What is your purpose in life. Your reasons for carrying on day to day - year to year?
In your opinion: what is the point in life?"
What do you think OP? |

I like the 'place I've never been to' thought. New things to discover. |

That one day there will be a sunrise and the fields, kissed with dew, will bear host to a woman of astounding beauty riding an alpaca, she won't deviate as she arrows across the grass of springs plenty. She'll arrive at the back gate and step down from her steed, her linen dress caught by the playful breeze, and swing open the gate to my garden.... Rushing fourth with a bowl of Strawberries and honey, I will stumble down my garden, breathless I reach her. She looks at me, and my first words are "I love you", she smiles knowingly and her eyes flutter, acknowledging my desire. "I know" she says, "now be a good chap and fetch the strap on"....

I agree as far as there being no point to life, we just exist.
As for what drives me, I really cant say I used to think it was because I couldn't put my parents through it, but now I just think that they were selfish for having me. |

The answer to that is too deep and personal for this forum.
But I do only have one life, a one way ticket and there are no refunds or returns. |

They'll still need you when they've flown. |

My partner was my strength through years of terrible mental health and I know I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. I want to see my daughter grow and I want to grow old with my partner. They are the reason I carry on each day! |

I think it’s about making the most impact on others, and being unselfish when it matters.
And above all, not being one of those people with no backbone, are selfish through life and just moan but never actively seek change.
And a cold beer in the sunshine after earning it.
