"Anyone here a keen runner and part of a club? If so are any of you sexy runners part of LGRC? x"
Keen runner here
I've looked at LGRC as I'm not part of a club, but can't see the benefits of it really |

For me, its just the meeting at runs, group photos, group chat and keeps up motivation plus being UKA means cheaper events which i do a few of a year so it all adds up haha x |

Ah yes, the discounted events, if you do a lot of them it is worth it
I'm still a novice runner, but have competed in a few events. I might join if I compete at enough to make the membership fee worth it |

"Keen but not very good runner here.
So self conscious, I won't even go to the 5km park run. I just pull my hat right down and hope nobody notices me."
Big events aren't for everyone so don't feel pressured into doing them. I personally live parkrun as the support and encouragement us amazing but I can see why it might be overwhelming for some.
Well done on the running though X |

I agree, well done for running. Remember, try not to compare your inner self to others outer selves. You’re doing great, keep going. X |

Thank you, it means a lot xx
My little dog passed away a couple of years ago, I loved taking her out for long walks. I found it very relaxing. In February, a nice frosty Sunday morning I just thought sod it! Put on a pair of shorts and a pair of unsuitable trainers and went out and walked around where I used to walk the dog. The following weekend I walked and jogged it.
Now,I like to do about 30km's a week.
I absolutely love it to the point where if I can't run for say a week due to work, I get really moody! It doesn't matter if it's raining, blowing a gale or hailing, I don't care.
We sometimes cycle together but I can't get her to run with me, I think that would be amazing but it's not going to happen.
I now have appropriate footwear and occasional joggers bollocks and Sudecreme to sort it out
If anyone thinks they would like to give it a go, do it! Go at your own pace and enjoy yourself. |

Lasted less than a day on the LGRC Facebook page, being kind it wasn't for me. There are other online running communities I much prefer.
Toying with joining my local club, after several years of solo running and tagging along with my girlfriends club I think it's time to join a club to see if it brings me on as a runner |
