are Some names obsolete
Jump to: Newest in thread
Me and a few friends got talking over the weeks. And realised that their are a few first names you never hear babies being given.
Grant : all the Grant’s I know are 40+
Karen : A’s above
Glen : only know 2 and they are over 50
Agnes : Say no more

I had this discussion with a few friends lately, trying to think of baby names.
Not so much obsolete but how some names are more associated with an age group/generation.
Bruce, Ronald, Stanley just don't fit a baby. Nothing wrong with those names but they are associated with an adult. |

When I was pregnant with my first son 14 years ago I really wanted to call him Abraham but everybody I knew slated me so I went with something else. But I still love the name and still haven’t ever met a real life Abraham.

I know a Glen under 40 and an Andy (male) under 25.
I love the name Abraham for a boy, if I were to have children I'd use that name. I also love Malakai. Biblical names from both ends of the spectrum.
