You should try it. It puts you in different search areas and there's some brilliant people out there.
Do you ever change your profile in other ways to see what changes attract different people? New pics, showing different types/ quantity of verifications? Or do you stick with the same thing? |

I sometimes change mine to my old address just to see who is around that I remember.
Apart from uploading pics I don't really change my profile much, I hid my verifications months ago after being questioned over previous meets. I do sometimes show a new for a while if it's funny or sweet. |

"Changed my name so having to delete and re upload my pics with new fab name on. Apologies to my friends who are probably sick to death of them popping up now x"
Oh crikey yeah that will be time consuming. It will get you views from people looking at new pics though. |

"Change ours depending on which hotel we’re using "
We used to do that too. Easier than trying to explain different locations. The locals don't always like people 'just visiting'. |

"I'm not what it achieves unless I'm actually going to another area OP. I am where I am!"
In some areas, a slightly different postcode can put you in a whole new search area. If you use the postcode of a place just 5 miles away, your searches will show up a whole new set of people. And new people will view you.
Still within your 'local' area. Experiment with different postcodes north/ east/ west/ south of where you live. It can be interesting. |

"Yep. Happy with the current rewrite. It seems to scare off the timid and the time-wasters. "
I'm scared!!
Good luck. Lots of people have met on here. It really does scare off the Instashag types. |

I travel a lot for work and I always search the areas postcode although when you are actually there and use the "who's nearby" function the results are usually different |

"Might give that a go and see what comes up... What's a good postcode area ????
"
Not my area.
I do Google maps. Pick somewhere I'd be happy to travel to, then use that postcode. |

My post code is set to 120 miles away, somewhere I spend a few weeks of the year, because I'd rather not have people in my small community knowing. I only meet new people in clubs/organised socials now anyway.
Photos, veris and bio get changed around a bit depending on how I'm using the site. |

There and to the left a bit |
Nope never changed my postcode and, unless I moved, probably won't either - the current one I have set (which *is* my home one) works perfectly well for how I approach the site.
Don't think, odd tweak aside, I have changed my profile text since I first wrote it either - again it works for me so if it ain't broke...
The only changes I do make are to upload pics and swap some of them to private/friends only on occasion. |

It's a good tip to use a different postcode. Avoids issues. |

"Yes! My location on here isn’t where I live.
It’s quite fun taking a ‘tour’ around the county, might give it a go soon "
It was fun when you were only 20 miles away
(Oh, yes I do... ish...) |
