What three things from today have given you little, or big, snippets of joy? They can be as mundane or spectacular as you like. Learning to find the joy in the drabbest of places is a skill that can help us make hard times durable.
Mine are...
Playing on the climbing frame in the park with my boys.
The food my sister cooked us all for tea.
Waking up first thing to a message from my love.
Over to you.....

I had the sweetest conversation with an old friend.
My daughter couldn’t wait til tomorrow and gave me an early birthday present.
I saw Jim Bob from Carter do an amazing set and my eyes leaked with with joy. |

The scent of freshly laundered sheets and a house where all the laundry is done. The beautifully and newly made up bed is a spectacular joy instigator particularly as I’ve been bedridden and poorly.
The forum, for keeping me entertained at the pace I’ve needed whilst not feeling able to get much done due to being poorly.
A handwritten letter that arrived in the post box yesterday but I’ve just discovered. And the soul who has made my heart burst a little. He’s a good chap.

Your love! Awww.
My partner bought a wonderful tv and has been really productive and set it up and registered it. He's so useful!
I was sent a wonderful wanking video as a reward for going to the gym.
I made elderflower jelly and it's amazing.

"Um...I’m not sure I can think of three good things from today "
Really? Not even a really nice cup of tea? The smell of cut grass as you step outside? A compliment from a friend or stranger? |

1) my son texting me back even though he is on a date with his girlfriend to say he was on a date and he will speak to me later
2) we made a couples day that stayed with us last night who was walking for charity, by donating the cost of their breakfast to their cause and giving them bacon sandwiches and water for free for the journey home, they said we was killing them with kindness!
3) I’ve managed to clear out the stock room that I’ve been meaning to do for months since we been here and got rid of all the crap and clean it! |

Finishing a 12 hr shift!
Eating nachos!
Finding out my young son has shaved his eyebrows off! ( more a roll your eyes shake your head moment than a joy moment I suppose!) |

Two women made a point of complimenting me on my hair, one I know (not well) the other a complete stranger. Might not seem much to most, but meant the world to me as I’m currently growing my hair colour out.
.
A nice walk to the pub for Sunday Lunch.
.
Reflecting over the weekend and feeling contented with my lot. |
