Lazy Sunday laying on the sofa watching two young lads on youtube rebuild wrecked cars restoring them to OEM spec (goonzquad btw)

Got me thinking... any careers you regret not pursuing?

Sometimes the no leap of faith is our downfall

I've always regretted that I didn't follow my destiny and become a 6ft supermodel.

I was approached in a Nightclub once and asked to join a ladies basketball team.

I could be a professional sportsplayer now! Doubtful as i like cake too much, but still...

I wanted to be an architect when I was younger. I don’t think I’d swop where I’ve ended up though - and I’m currently working on some service design that is involving the architecture/building environment so it’s a win-win!

On a mooch

Always wanted to be a soldier, until I found out all I could do was cook, drive it sit behind a desk at the time, very different from cadet force where you were treated no different

After that was a policeman but I was to damn short for their rules

So I’m now doing and have been for 30+ years sitting behind a desk, I should have joined the army and done that

Apart from going in to academia I really wanted to be a barrister but for a couple of reasons I wimped out of that one - I regret it a bit when I catch up with my friend but meh. Happy where I am!

I wanted to be a jazz drummer, having played since I was a kid (hence the user name!) but I always knew it wouldn't be lucrative enough. I still play, and I was at Ronnie Scott's last year but it still don't pay much

Yes I did. A friend is one of the house musicians, so it wasn't entirely on my talent!

I wanted to do music and art for A level but my mum was very scathing about it. I occasionally wonder what I'd be doing now if I'd been allowed to study those subjects. As it is I've never used my English and Cultural History degree for any job.

When I was younger I wanted to be Bruce lee, I got a little bit older and really wanted to be a landscape gardener.

I’ve never been Chinese and I’ve never had a job gardening

I'm lucky in that all I ever wanted was to join the army. I joined at 16 and served for 9 years

Scariest thing I ever did was take that leap of faith in myself and go for it... The best decision I made minus chasing trim of course
