What's so bad about white knights?

Men who say something nice or sticking up for a woman are often accused of being white knights - supposedly only being nice in the hope of getting a shag.
Why is that a bad thing? The site is for people looking for a shag.
If someone is having a bad day and someone is nice to them, that's a nice thing. Isn't it?

Nowt wrong with it at all. Often people are accused of it when they’re not even hoping for anything in return. I think it’s one of those accusations that say more about the accuser, like those who say snowflake, social justice warrior, gammon or ‘real’ swingers.
Let people interact, we are all relational animals and nice comments such as those labelled as white knighting aren’t hurting anyone (unless to white knight they’re putting/pulling someone else down - that’s not cool).
