So, my third trip to the gym this week and i thought I would experiment with the exercise balls.
I saw a woman last week having a great workout laying on this ball and it looked like fun.
My attempt was not so much fun, trying to balance on the blooming thing is hard enough let alone exercise on it.
Any ideas ? |

Get one of the gym staff to earn their money and show you how to use it properly - you need to protect your back! There are so many exercises you can do for your whole body, great piece of kit. |

Quite right.
I am a personal trainer and they and/or the gym instructors are there to help you.
There is lots of stuff you can do on a Swiss ball, including abs, squats, chest, shoulder and back exercises.
If you don't ask you don't get!!! |

Keep practicing on it and it will soon come! Some windsurfing friends told me to practice balancing on one to help with core balance and I was able to build it up from falling off instantly to comfortably staying on it.
Craziest thing I saw was a guy from the Polish squash team (on YouTube) practising hitting the ball against a wall while standing on one!!! :-s
