I just don’t think being polite and honest is too much when you’v opened and read a message from someone whoever it’s from? Am I just old fashioned? Lol

If you had a vag you'd be recieving a bazillion messages. Would you be bothered to reply, thanks, but no thanks, over and over. You'd have no time to meet someone you'd want to meet. Not to mention some people that do get a thanks, but no thanks, then respond back again.

Old fashioned, which has a certain charm, unrealistic, which doesn't.

From the site FAQ;

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

And from a different perspective; say you've sent 100 intro messages. Do you really want 100 "no thank you" messages and to be blocked by 100 women?

I'm being very polite by choosing not reply to messages I usually receive.

Old fashioned? Possibly

Needy and self entitled? Yes.

Nobody owes you a response, just like nobody asked you to message them.

You send a message, you're taking a chance, not all chances are fruitful.

Agree with that I just feel bad if I don’t have the courtesy to acknowledge anything I receive but I completely understand the volume other people get makes that sometimes impossible

Spend a week replying to all the spam in your email inbox and do the same with every flyer or piece of junk mail that comes through your letterbox. Lots of other threads on this subject, try reading them, the answers are all out there.

I have been a bit naive about the volume some people are receiving therefore I can understand why replying to someone is not as easy as I originally thought lol

Every day is a school day on Fab... and there is never a daft question if you aren't sure of something

Somewhere

If it’s a polite message with some sort of greeting and thoughtful message (that conveys they have read my profile) then in my opinion it deserves a reply. However if it’s a 2-3 word message like - “hows u” or “got kik” or the like... then I have no problem hitting the delete button.
