Are youngsters nowadays more mature?

Lately have met some youngies 19-23 age group (both sexually and vanilla meets) and find they're more mature and well informed than I think I was at that age. Good convo makes the interaction (and the sex) a lot better. Is that your experience too or have I just gotten lucky? |

I reckon it’s no different from any time gone by, you find all different types of people but you sound like you’ve managed to find something not that common but can be very very hot, younger people with a mature side is spot on for me |

Yeah except for communication technology and access to culture and education. It is very different, the experience of my kids will be completely different to my dads. |

Don't try to slam one generation in favour of another because the honest truth is your generation and the one before you and so forth have done dumbass things. The only difference is now we have social media to document it and share it with others. |

I think you are totally wrong and a bit hypocritical being as you chose to use a "Filter" on a pic on your profile.
All and each generation differs in a whole manner of ways as yours or mine.
Mine did to my older brothers only 10 yrs my senior. His decade of the 80's was all party 8's of skol lager, shit clubs shit (mostly) musi and ,tech, wtf is tech bk then.
I could go on but i dont want to slaughter a generation cos i didnt live it as an adult. Putting everything 70/80's in a whole box and Labelled "fuckin idiots" as you have because they are a younger generation.
ill educated and or ignorance is no reason to say all 19/25 yr olds are all idiotic youtube dog ear wearing, bunny nosed fuckwits? In my opinion..
give the youngers some credit, you may just learn 1 or 2 things..

That’s a bit of a generalisation there not all youngsters are like that. Some actually do have mental health conditions as it better understood now than it was with previous generations. Also not all youngsters are like that yeah you do get the idiots but every generation has that it’s nothing new. |

I think as time goes on and society progresses then education gets better. Each generation has been better educated than the last broadly speaking |

Exactly. It's down to the individual. It's a tough age for maturity. When I was 19 I was mentally and emotionally very mature but still looked about 12. Other classmates of mine had full beards by 15 but were like two short planks. |

No I don't think they're more mature. I just think they're mature in different ways.
Looking back to previous generations my dad started work at 14 in 1941, while men just 4 years older than him were fighting WW2. I was pretty much self sufficient at 18 so was Mr N and our son left home a week after his 17th birthday.
Circumstances, life situation and upbringing all play a part. |

My generation obviously did silly things when younger, but guess what we grew up. Me pointing out that younger people still do stupid stuff and need to grow up a bit is just a statement of fact and not an opinion. Like you said my generation was the same, so was the previous. It's getting worse too, my generation was worse when younger than the previous, and this one is worse than we were.
Will they grow up into proper people, sure, but this thread isnt about that, its about them when they are still young, ie... for the most part idiots. |

Look, every generation goes through phases they "grow out of", like the 60s generation grew out of being hippys etc.
The question was, are younger people now more mature than previous generations were when they were younger, and the answer is no, not by a long shot.
Does this mean they will grow up into stupid adults? no, they will grow up into normal adults.
So no need to get defensive about it. |

I'm not sure about more mature - as this probably requires exposure to achieve, as well as a correspondent maturing of their brains - which continues after teenage years.
The site self-selects people, with those who are less suited, more likely to give up and leave - this probably means that those who are sexually confident, perhaps more mature than average and have other qualities that those of us who aren't just a few weeks out of our teenage years, do appreciate in others.
Away from sex, younger people are exposed to a different life than most of us were, where certainly issues of the environment are highly critical and will affect them for more of their lives than ours. They also have different employment and housing prospects too.
As a student spending most of my time with people who are 18 to early 20s, I am impressed with most of them and happy to shag quite a few too  |
