Remember when you were a kiddie? What were your favourite toys to play with?
I loved climbing trees and racing round with my gang on our bmx bikes, but I also really enjoyed my speak and spell, etch-a-sketch, Star Wars figures, and adored my Gary Kasparov chess machine! I was a wee bit of a bookworm too.
How about you? |

"Another bookworm here, I loved a bit of Enid Blyton. Also had an impressive collection of She Ra action figures, and my Raleigh bike. "
My sis had a Raleigh but I watched BMX Bandits and insisted on one! |

Sounds just like my childhood but swap the chess for paper and pencils, drawing and doodling |

Oooh yes, I forgot about art! I’m still a daily doodler. I was obsessed with my chess machine though. |

My favourite toy isn't really a toy. My parents bought me a ZX81 and then a zx spectrum. I miss the days of buying a game from John Menzies, copying it and lending it out your mates then taking it back to the store for a refund lol. You could do that a few times a week. |

I was a total bookworm! Another Enid Blyton fan here, Jacqueline Wilson books were a favourite as a pre teen along with Terry Pratchet and Stephen King a little later.
As far as actual toys, I loved my little pony, polly pockets, puppy in my pockets and cars!
Also loved my little tape recorder, used to record myself doing a cover of bohemian rhapsody at least once a week! |

I was always up a tree, making spears out of elder switches, or on my roller boots if the weather was good. If it was raining I had my nose in a book. I used to draw a lot and listened to my parents' records if they weren't already hogging it. |

There were loads of boys on my street so I used to hang around a lot with them. Football, cricket (my front tooth went through my top lip when I was bat stop once), tennis in the middle of the road. We used to go for massive bikes to.
I did love fuzzy felts and my girls world to
I feel all nostalgic now! |

There were some cool toys that lasted as long as the batteries. Where was poundland when we needed them. I loved taking them apart. Pretty crap at putting them back together again back then |

The little Mac Lass had 2 toys that she absolutely adored. Do any of you remember the little briefcases? The grey one opened up and it was an office. It had a little telephone, a memo pad and pens. Then the red one was joy of joys... a frickin’ post office complete with a franking stamper thing, stamps, envelopes and paper. I spent many many hours annoying everyone around me with admin. No surprise I’m now a PA.
Other than that the treehouse and Shelby the Keepers snail are the other ones I remember fondly. |

I wasn't really interested in toys when I was small. Played in the cupboards, pulling out the pots and pans, just as happy with a box, Dad always complained that at xmas he'd spend a fortune just for me to unwrap the presents, discard the contents and play with the packaging
I did loved small world stuff, doll prams, hated dolls so used to push my stuffed animals about in it.
Loved my dolls house, used to spend hours re arranging the rooms and furniture.
Also loved books, jigsaws and board games

I had a thing about spaces, would hide around the house and wait to be found.
I fell asleep in the airing cupboard once, caused a ruckus because Dad thought I'd wandered off or something, was asleep for hours. I woke up oblivious to it, Dad had the police and everything :D |

My roller boots were my favourite thing in the world ever. They were awesome! Red suede with silver leather flames on. My twin sister and I both got them for Christmas one year, different sizes as she had bigger feet than me. I very quickly wore mine out, she outgrew hers and then when my feet grew I wore hers out too |

Had hours of fun playing with petite post office set or play kitchens etc. Bikes rides where the best, picnics or playing out in the fields. In summer the local farmer used to give the local kids rides in his trailer..I was always too scared to get on though |

When I was a kid, you would find me dancing or singing. I used to record my own radio show using my c.d player for the music and tape player to record myself on ... radio funk hahaha. Aside from that I wasn't really interested in toys, used to spend a lot of time with elderly neighbours, my grandparents died before I was born apart from one so adopted my own elders |
