I don't quite understand your post sorry.
There is no "standards". People meet who they want to meet, just because someone doesn't fit what you're looking for it doesn't make them a lesser person. |

I think perhaps standards is the wrong word, what’s hot and what’s a turn off to one person could be the complete opposite to somebody else, maybe it’s not so much standards as more a case of personal preference x
Who are we to judge what’s a high n low standard anyhow? |

I think, the OP has possibly been misinterpreted because of the way it's been written - what he (I think) is saying is that a woman on his local updates currently has a status that reads:
"Would appear some guys on here will meet just anybody, sorry but I have standards"
The OP is asking if by having a dig at those guy(s) does it mean she is suggesting other ladies have no standards?
And in a backhanded way it could be taken that way I guess - either way personally I don't see the point in worrying about how others choose to present themselves and act on here if it's not impacting me directly, particularly if it's about something subjective - would much rather focus on my own enjoyment of the site than get bogged down in others'. |

I could be wrong but my take on what the OP is saying is :-
When a wiman posts an update saying 'I've got standards', it comes across to the OP as her insinuating that other ladies on Fab don't have standards.
It's a vague statement for a profile update that's open to interpretation and liable to be seen as an insult to many....well that's my interpretation of the OP's interpretation of another fabbers interpretation of her own message.
.....I wonder how misunderstandings start

I interpret this as woman suggests some men do not have standards because a guy she likes has met a woman she hates. And I’ve seen other women do it, to the point that they will no longer meet certain guys if the guy meets certain women. I find the attitude rather sad and very limiting. |
