Just say the kids are ill and say nothing else. If on Tuesday they are rove you further you can mention your newly acquired goats needed the vets attention. You need goats to turn their milk into lactose free cheese as your allergic to dairy products after a visit to the GP. |

Just say that you would like two days unpaid leave as something has cropped up at home that you need to deal with.
They may well deny it, but least you’ve been honest. They will probably just see it as an employee with no holidays trying to wangle a long weekend but....

Tell them your sister's, friend's, mother's, grandfather's, brother's, grandson's, uncle's fish has died. And yes it was tragic and you're in mourning with the family. |

Out of holidays already do you only accrue them each month ?
Food poisoning is always a good one, because effectively you have to tell them you've been sick for four days. A real serious bout would leave you bed bound for three days at least and another to recover. When I was in the Army there were certain things you could eat that gave your skin a different tone that made you look sick. Google it and try it on the Thursday |

Indeed it’s a sad state of affairs . Unfortunately it’s hard to remove these people from companies , then they drag the morale down of the rest of the workforce “ oh he’s off again why should I bother “
Vicious circle . Never change |

I used to be very reluctant to take false sickies.
However, this year my employer banned all leave from end of March to mid May, due to "Brexit". Some people had booked and paid for holidays and weren't allowed to go.
Then when Brexit didn't happen, it was all "oh ok never mind you can have your leave again"...too late for some.
So, if I book my holiday in October and they do it again, I'm just going anyway..... And won't feel guilty;) |

Just remember to put your sick voice on
Seriously though, faking being sick might come back to bite you in the arse, it has done for me in the past, I tend to be honest now, I offer to work part of the day and make the hours up etc, I don’t want to be ‘one of those people’ but it’s something life has taught me. |

Diarrhoea is a classic.
Can’t check on you, even if you’re spotted out and about you don’t have to look ill to have it. And who goes to the Docs for that. Also its usually a straight 48hrs off.
But depends what the work is. Never felt bad pulling a sickie when I worked in places that I would be replaced with in minutes. Wouldn’t pull one now I work in a closer knit team.
I’m sure the CEO doesn’t lose sleep over me pulling a sickie |
