Nope, i use viber, its a great app to send free messages and make free calls.

use mine constantly and i don't have battery issues with my galaxy s2.

I have s2 but wasnt a fan of kik... no batt issues with it though

Can I just ask though, is it not true that you only get the service free if you text or call someone who is also using Viber?

Yes the other person needs the application but it's a free application.
