Do I know how to swim; yes

Can I swim at the moment; no, due to a trapped tendon, I can't move my arm in the right way to swim

Last time I did any swimming is two years ago when on holiday

Hiding in the shadows

I'm part Mermaid

I could swim before I could walk... Discovered as my mum tripped walking through the foot wash and launching me into the pool!

Swam competively all my childhood & teens, represented GB at schools events.

I live on the coast, at the beach as often as I can.

I love sea swimming, kayaking & paddleboarding.

I also do 3/4 lifeguard shifts a month during the summer

I used to live right on the beach until a few years ago & would swim all year round.

Last time I went was on a coasteering trip, which is great fun if you haven't done it! You get a wetsuit, a float vest, gloves and boots that stop you cutting yourself on rocks, and basically swim around the cliffs and into caves, climbing up at certain safe points and leaping off into the sea, it's awesome

I can breast stroke, that's all I do at the pool. So technically I can swim but I can't do all the fancy things. But I am good at the breast stroke. My gym has a pool and when I have the time I end my workout with some lengths to cool down. Sometimes when my body is battered or injured my workout is swiming. On average I probably swim a couple times a week.

Not for about 18 months thanks to a shoulder injury ironically picked up from swimming!!

Thousands of lengths over the years, miles upon miles of OW swimming.

Absolutely love it there's no more serene feeling than swimming in the ocean or a river or lake on a perfectly still day water is like a mirror, perfect silence with only the gentle splashing of your swimming and breathing.

Stopping lying back and starfish on the water it's how I hope it feels once we die.

Perfect serenity
