Do I know how to swim; yes
Can I swim at the moment; no, due to a trapped tendon, I can't move my arm in the right way to swim
Last time I did any swimming is two years ago when on holiday |

We swam in the Caribbean Sea last December while on holiday in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
It’s like riding a bike, once you know how you never lose the ability.

You do 50 lengths in 25 mins or you're going swimming in 25 mins to do 50 lengths?"

Yes I swam competitively until I was no longer tall enough and lacked the necessary hand and foot size to compete. I last swam a couple of months ago. I’ve just moved gyms to one with a great swimming pool so will get to go more frequently |

You're only a big deal if you can swim to the bottom whilst wearing pyjamas *nods sagely* |

I'm part Mermaid
I could swim before I could walk... Discovered as my mum tripped walking through the foot wash and launching me into the pool!
Swam competively all my childhood & teens, represented GB at schools events.
I live on the coast, at the beach as often as I can.
I love sea swimming, kayaking & paddleboarding.
I also do 3/4 lifeguard shifts a month during the summer
I used to live right on the beach until a few years ago & would swim all year round. |

"
50 lengths in 25 mins is bloody good going .
I did a 5 mile swim when I was 11 for charity .... swam for the county and had a England trial ...
I’d struggle at your pace now ,, but got some open water swims planned for this year with friends |

If we had loads of money the first thing we'd do would be put a heated indoor pool in. Well, the second the first would be buy a big enough house .
We'd love to swim daily without having to drive somewhere |

Last time I went was on a coasteering trip, which is great fun if you haven't done it! You get a wetsuit, a float vest, gloves and boots that stop you cutting yourself on rocks, and basically swim around the cliffs and into caves, climbing up at certain safe points and leaping off into the sea, it's awesome |

"Yes 3 or 4 times a week for many years, some open water swimming in Salford quays is on the cards this summer also"
We've seen them swimming in Salford Quays, it always makes me chuckle as there are signs everywhere saying DANGER NO SWIMMING .
I can swim, but I'm not good at it... shame because I'd really like to do some triathlons.

"I can’t, how embarrassing " I had a very very patient school teacher at school that helped, with the use of an old fashioned float..I kind of envy you because you haven't had that feeling yet where you suddenly know/say "Wow I can actually swim"it's a better feeling than Red Monkey spelling a word wrong |

I used to go swimming all the time as a kid , was third in Huddersfield schools swimming freestyle races 3 years running , beaten each time but the same 2 lads , and was 4 and 5 in Yorkshire swimming championships, sadly now I never go , football injuries have damaged leg joints on both legs so walking for more that 15/20 minutes gives me bad pain these days x |

I can breast stroke, that's all I do at the pool. So technically I can swim but I can't do all the fancy things. But I am good at the breast stroke. My gym has a pool and when I have the time I end my workout with some lengths to cool down. Sometimes when my body is battered or injured my workout is swiming. On average I probably swim a couple times a week. |

I'm a very poor swimmer after an accident as a child, I can't put my face in. I made sure my children had lessons and they are all very confident in the water. My daughter is so beautiful to watch, the way she effortlessly cuts through the water is amazing. Not like me! |

There and to the left a bit |
I'm a capable if not strong swimmer - not much of a one for doing length after length though as I get bored easily.
Had to think about when the last time was, and it's actually almost two years ago on holiday in Cyprus. |

Not for about 18 months thanks to a shoulder injury ironically picked up from swimming!!
Thousands of lengths over the years, miles upon miles of OW swimming.
Absolutely love it there's no more serene feeling than swimming in the ocean or a river or lake on a perfectly still day water is like a mirror, perfect silence with only the gentle splashing of your swimming and breathing.
Stopping lying back and starfish on the water it's how I hope it feels once we die.
Perfect serenity |

I no longer work in an organisation that has its own pool. And the school run is a bitch for eating into your routines. |
