Reduce carb intake- dont cut completely!
Walk more ( go for a 30 min walk every night
Cut alcohol.
Cut carbonated (fizzy) drinks
Cut snacking/sweets
Have porridge for breakfast (good fat burner)
Drink more water. (Sometimes we confuse thirst signals for hunger signals in our brain)
Pack out your plate with veg.
And dont go hungry!
You'll make a noticeable difference doing the above, but remember dont go hungry its very easy to shock your body into thinking its starving and your body will burn protein & store fat.
Good luck with it |

I'm doing much the same thing. I have been to a nutritionist and a fitness trainer.
Diet-wise, go for low carb, high-protein and high nutrition. Make the carbs you have slow-release and have them early in the day (stop at midday if possible).
Exercise-wise, try to increase your muscle mass. More muscle burns more calories when you are at rest and even more when you are active. Feed them with lots of protein.
Try to lose weight by changing what you eat, not by exercising. Cardio burns muscle as well as fat. Cardio is good for a healthy heart and improving stamina but it's counter-productive if your intention is to shed fat.
Happy to have a private conversation if you want some tips.

Progress report captain
Currently 2 weeks into this thing and down from 16.7 to 15.13
Eating less rubbish and doing average 15k on a treadmill per week plus other exercise
Goal is to be down to 15 exactly and then work on toning up |

Great on you!
Best thing is to question your cravings. Sometimes you think you're hungry but in fact you're tired or dehydrated. Do make sure you get 8 hours sleep every night and drink 1-2L of water daily. I'm guilty of this a lot so I know sometimes that it's the little things like that make all the difference.
Exercise also helps you sleep. A brisk ten-minute walk after dinner (not too late, no caffeine) helps too!
Best of luck! |

Thank you - I tend to walk the dog after dinner plus walk to the shops on my lunch break so that's about an hour walking each day plus gym
We don't drink caffeine so no cravings there
Try to sleep 8 hrs but with kids and a dog it can be much less sometimes
Only got 5 hrs last night as was at a concert so sleepy today!!
Cravings are ever present but so I a mirror with its judgemental glare!
So haven't caved yet to chocolate or sweets |
