What measures did you go to as a child to fake being sick?
I remember when I lived in Germany, aged five. I stood in front of the mirror and covered myself in my mum’s foundation and powder thinking it made me look paler.
Went downstairs, announced I was ill and couldn’t possibly go to school. She burst out laughing and said ‘oh no, you’ve gone orange!’

Absolutely shocking behaviour
In fourth and fifth year at school I had double P.E on a Friday afternoon. You had to go to the other building (we were a split site school). You never got registered either, and it was a giant skive.
So I used to meet my friend who had finished work, hop on a bus and go to McDonald’s |

So did I, I didn’t do it often. The Germany one I had only just moved over and hadn’t made any friends yet, and my mum had just given birth to my wee sister and my auntie and granny were coming over from Scotland |
