I've been flirting with a girl from the local shop and it's getting a bit interesting. Then she tells me shes 18. I honestly thought she was in her 20s 25 maybe.
Well she is insanely hot and sexy but I'm 16 years older than her. Really don't know what to do.

That said, I entered a relationship at 42 with someone who was 18

For me it would also depend on the person not just the age, not all 18 year olds are the same and neither are all 25 year olds. If you're not sure then best to go with your gut and steer clear. |

I'd say don't go there. My reason is this. The good sex comes with being with someone you connect with. If the age gap is too great you'll have less conection so personally I try to keep within a 10 to 15 year age gap either way. Most of us guys get horney over young, pretty girls but it's not really a good idea.
This is only a guide though and every situation is different. |

Been on both sides at 19 I was dating a 35yr old
Then when I was 34 I started seeing a 22 Yr old and I got more stick for that then when I was dating older but that fizzled out after few months still with the younger guy now I don't think age is an issue as long as you stay within the law which you are

I agree it does depend on the man very much. My 17 year old daughter recently went away with her dad,they were sat in a pub one evening and her dad goes to the toilet. No but I would just like my daughter to experience 'firsts' with someone her own age. I'm not talking about sex,but getting married,setting up house,starting a family,travelling etc
Chances are with someone in their 30's they'll have children,ex wife's etc which can bring problems.
Then when she's 60 and still wanting to do thing's,he may be more a couch potato in his late 70's. My ex mum-in-law had to put her husband in a home because she couldn't cope putting him in the bath,there was a 15 year age gap there and it showed. |

There's a friend from school I know she's engaged with a 49 year old about a 22 year gap.

If you're feeling unsure it's probably bets to stay away. If it's for the sake of a quickie then it probably isn't worth it. If there was a connection I would say go for it and see what happens, she is legal after all.
I moved out of home at 15 and had a very good head on my shoulders when I was 18. I knew what I wanted and was a lot more mature than people would give an 18 year old credit for. It depends on what she is like as a person. Only you will know. |

We had a policy of welcoming boyfriends and girlfriends no matter what we thought of them and keeping our thoughts to our selves. Our kids have dated all different ages and types of person some we've been happier about than others but we've kept our darn mouth shut except in one extreme circumstance.

If you're playing between the legal goalposts you're fine. For a relationship the age difference may be a problem.
