Hi girls I recently switched from depo that I have been having for well over 20 yrs never had a period ( I hate them with a passion ) but recently started acting up and I have had issues with bleeding irregular and long periods... 23 days
Doctors were worried sent me for lots of tests and decided it was my hormones... suggested coil .. had it put in and everything seemed to calm down went for 6 week check and on night visited a club had sex then bang next day I'm bleeding yet again for 7 days stopped for a week then started again ... just stopped again ...
My question is how long should I give it to settle and is there anything else you can suggest for stopping periods lol xx cant have it interrupting my fun makes me too horny xx |

This is my 4th Mirena. The first 3 it took 6 months to settle down but then Had no Pain Or periods. This 1 has been the bane of my life. And I find if I have rough sex with this coil I bleed for a while
Pop and get it checked just to make sure it hasn't moved |

"I had one and was told to give it 6 months to settle down! Unfortunately mine perforated my uterus so had it removed!! "
This is what worries me how do I know if it's doing damage... losing this amount of blood surely isn't normal? |

Mine was so so painful, I had an internal scan as they kept saying it’d settle And give it time but I knew it wasn’t right and the scan revealed that it had moved and perforated my uterus so they got me straight in to have to removed! I wasn’t bleeding heavy though but the stomach pain low down was chronic! |

I had one fitted. It lasted 3 months before I begged them to take it out. The pain was unbearable and the constant bleeding was a nightmare.
It doesn't work for everyone |

Some just aren't right. My friend had constant bleeding. She had hers removed and fitted a new one 6 weeks later and she had no problems with the new xx |
