I like the more remote areas and once i was lucky enough not to see another soul for 10 hours.

I love being in my own as much as I love socialising.

Being able to just decide where you want to go to eat instead of discussing whether Indian or Chinese, sit in or take out.

I would love a week in the sun on my own but will need to wait till my sons older but a week with a couple of books and sunshine sounds bliss to me. Then just chat to people at the bar when I need some company

I think having time to yourself is great if it's through choice, I love going out for a run, and using the time for a bit of self reflection, to clear the mind, or else to work through the issues of the day.

If it's enforced though, that's just horrible, there are times when I hate being alone, and really miss having someone to talk to and interact with.

Time for me to do what I want when I want is marvellous, I go alone to sporting events, gigs etc. not because I don't like company, but not everyone can get away/out or will commit to seeing a band they sort of like & tickets are selling fast so I just buy & go..otherwise I would have missed many good events.

I have a full on job where I have to talk and run around all day long - so coming home to a peaceful environment is really important to me.

I socialise a lot less these days.

I find time on my own to be theraputic.

Too many folks, friends or complete strangers seem to get off on letting me down any way they can.

Quite a few times I thought I'd found a great Pal only to have the piss taken in one way or another.

Contentious as this sounds the women I've met on here have been just the worst.

I ride motorbikes as my "other hobby" so it doesn't really bother me being alone.

Although I've met this couple and shock horror, we seem to have become great mates.

So every cloud and all that....

I take at least a half hour alone time every day, I need it to process my day. It's essential to anyone on the introvert side of the scale to have some alone time to recharge. I also seem to listen to others much more than I speak, so I need more time to recharge on the days I've been listening to a lot of people's dramatic lives. Often, on a day off after a busy week, I take myself off to places where I'm unlikely to run into someone I know to do my shopping, as I wouldn't feel like making small talk or answering questions that day.

I’m exactly the same. I often go for long walks in the hills by myself. It’s therapeutic.
