Just stumbled uppon pull my finger emoji thread and somehow was hit by a peaceful silence as nobody were talking in there. Then realised that just before it I had a cacophony of voices in my head that would belong to other forum users and talk over each other while I'm reading their posts.
When you're reading peoples posts do they have voices or are they just words on the screen?

Some posters I can hear so clearly - their voice on the forum matches perfectly with my interpretation of them having met them.
Others I give different, possibly inaccurate accents to at times. Like Hatter sounding like me, even now. In a long and winding way, yes. I often hear in my head someone's post and if I know their voice, it will be in that voice. |

Not everyone vocalizes thoughts. Some people don't even hear their own voice in their head when reading, and some do. For some people every thought and everything they ever read is in a voice in their head, some will never ever even hear one voice.
I hear my own voice, but you can train to hear no voice. |

I wish I could train to do that sometimes.

Only of those I've spoken too. I add tones to how it's said too. With those i haven't spoken too, i add a face..... that's why sometimes I get surprised when I see what they really look like

I know what you mean. It's funny when the voice you imagined is not even close to the real one.
