Again it comes down to the strongest surviving the more offspring the better chance of some making it to maturity |

I think the answer is obvious. How many men are there on the site as opposed to the number of women. Obviously the women on here are just as up for it as the men (assuming that all their personal interests are ticked) but looking at quantity of members.......
Another support would be the number of male as opposed to female sex workers. There has always been a market for women's 'services' and that market is much larger than for men's.
This may be a straight case of libedo, or it may be cultural stereotypes, but, for me, the answer is an obvious yes. |

Rather than cultural sterotypes its cultural conditioning, look at the number of women who own vibrators(socially acceptable) .They arent using them cos they arent horny |

Those who know anything about evolutionary biology will tell you that is completly untrue of humans, and all other apes. |

Well for a start humans and apes are not the same species.
Women also do seek the best gene pool for farther hood and the most capable of supporting and nurturing offspring. |

That's a fair point, but I took the question to be having sex with the opposite gender (or the same gender, I suppose) rather than gratifying ones self (I don't have any statistics to support either argument other than the fact that there are 20 single men per couple and 20 couples per single woman)..... |

But do you not think the Victorian's had alot to do with some attitudes that people have towards sex. Remember they did not think it possible for two women to have a sexual relationship and we all know that it is more than possible. |

From an evolutionary standpoint there is something to be said for the first point made, but it underestimates the demale's propensity to sneak in a sly one when the dominant male is not looking.
Primates are an odd species because there is a social element missing in all reptiles and most other mammals. Birds are the only other genus I can think of where some species form a permanent pair bond.
Most social higher mammals (ie not rodents) live in tight female groups with a single (occasionaly a sibling pair) male in the dominant position. the male is usualy transient, his position rests on being able to fight off rival males. but since humans have a highly developed social side (and ovulaion is entirely hidden) we can't realy refer to other animals in this debate, they just aren't relevant..... |

understand the points made...but its becoming increasingly more apparent that our observations on other species life cycles arent always correct, from the measuring of intelligence to the measure of 'emotion' and bonding. What we are seeing is a rise of 'individuality', among our animal friends...which of course may be a human trait being passed by their observation ( fishing bird using bread as bait is an example).
Maybe animals have small emotional bonds that they return to after a few yearly cycles?- and of course, the more we observe the more we change things is a definite possibility.
mmm just spotted some hot chick with a radio transmitter...ahhh...wait, its a strapon!

Perhaps, certainly the more we study animal inteligence the more animals we admit to that band of 'intligent' (I think that the current hot thing is 'theory of self' where animals alter their behaviousm not because of the behaviour of others of the species, but because of the perception of the posibility of their behaviour).
However, dragging it back closer to the OP, I don't think that we can learn much about our own sexual behaviour form animals because we are so far removed from everything else.
And returning to my original point, it does seem obvious that, in general, men have higher sex drives than women (or at the very least are more likely to act upon their sex drives than women) |

would tend to agree, womens sexuality has been frowned upon to a certain degree by .....well usually men in positions of power..
be that the 'church' (other cults also do so), 'society' in general..
lets be honest some men are grossly hypocritical in this regard..
son sows wild oats.. pat on back
daughter does same..
young males sow wild oats..peers wink, slap on back etc
young female sow wild oats..sl*g or other derogatory term..
women are equally as likely to have a high sex drive as men have a low sex drive..

My point exactly , we are not comparing like with like, but in those societies where female sexuality has not been condemned then there was no observable difference in male and female behavior. |

i agree.
men are still inferior to women, in every way, and i dont care what other blokes say.
women have ALL the power when it comes to sex, lifestyle, fashion and so on.
women can do so much more than men.
men just think they are in charge. |

not sure i agree m8, some women doing equal jobs are paid less than their male colleagues..totally wrong..
look at the 'higher echelons' of business, women are few and far between yet have achieved comparable academic achievement by and large for the last couple of decades..
personaly as a bloke i think a lot of discrimination against women is down to insecurity amongst some men..just my opinion..
have seen it and dealt with it in the workplace, its an easy cop out for some blokes to play the 'she got the position because she is a woman card'
nope she got it cos she is better than the other applicants, both male and female.. |

i agree with you. i meant more on a personal level rather than professional.
admittedly business has a fair way to go to reward women as well as it does men, although in more 'menial' jobs (shopfloor rather than percieved professionals), there is generally pay equality and opportunity parity also.
Em said it herself that there si nothing worse than a woman with power, so if a woman can think that, how scary would it be form a blokes pov? lol |

I remember meeting a vanilla guy and staying at his house over night, we had sex twice during the night as he was obviously not up for anymore. In the morning i went to the bathroom came back and he was up and had made the bed. Afterwards he was saying i had a high sex drive, we only bloody did it twice lol. I think my sex drive is average. I dont need or want it every day but the days i do have it i definetly have plenty. I would say 4/5 days a week that doesnt mean 4/5 shags. If im on a meet we usually have a fair few during the course of the evening if jay is staying over night we will probley do it about three times i guess. But he does have a really high sex drive i joke that hes trying to cram as much in before there comes a time when he cant lol |

Same here, not bothered if I don't get any, but when I've had some Action, my god I'm like a cat on fire.

"seems women are happier to indulge in soft play than men, they just want to fuck"
There is the argument that if youaverage out the number of HOURS of sexual play desired then women are way in front, men want to fuck then sleep, women want to keep going for hours |

What do you mean by those 'in the know"? This question has been debated by scholars of many disciplines all over the world for thousands of years and there is still no agreement between them.
My own view, for what it is worth, is that some men want sex more than some women, and that some women want more sex than some men. |

Men are not inferior to women and neither are women inferior to men; they are complimentary opposites. "Power' is not a factor when it comes to sex for those of us, male or female who are not sexually dysfunctional. "Women" do not have all the power when it comes to lifestyle and fashion; those who have the power are the ruling classes, be they male or female, who can manipulate the half-asleep British public through the media.
