If you had plastered it right you wouldn't have to sand it
oi. I'm a novice plasterer - first time at doing a ceiling and only did the bits that needed doing, not the whole lot. the walls barely needed anything. I was taught that when patching, always do it proud so u can sand back to level "
And yes, you are reading right - it's mrs scouse doing the plastering. MrShields does any sanding cos of my asthma |

Use a large float, skim the plaster in and then hold the float at a slight angle to remove excess wet plaster |

Did that I have done a whole wall to perfection btw - just first time on ceiling and not whole ceiling or would have done it slightly differently. I am quite a DIY diva and just cos I haven't done something before has never stopped me in the past - I won't touch gas though (unless cooking) and only change sockets etc with electrics after falling off a ladder when I was trying to reroute a lazy betty pull cord, one friday the 13th, knocking myself out and hubby coming home to nickname me carrie ever since (there was only a little sanding to do anyway - I wanted mr shields to feel useful lmfao |
