Yes! Just relax, be yourself, so long as you look nice, smell nice that's all that matters. No point in trying too hard, it comes across as desperate and pushy even.
Having a shower, not too much spray and clean clothes is definitely an effort appreciated in my book given I've had a guy turn up for a meet having finished a very sweaty day job, not showered and just put clean shirt on, yuk the smell was awful |

"Is there such a thing as trying too hard during a meet?Or do you appreciate the effort put in?"
It all depends I don't think you can put too much effort in but its how people see you. If you come across as desperate or needy then assumptions can be made and you may put some people off. We have met socially with someone who didn't relax and although he was very nice he was too tense for us. Just be yourself and be confident both playing and chatting. |

i think with some people certainly i felt this at one point you want to make a good impression so to cover up your nervousness you tend to ramble or do too much which may be perceived as being desperate.I know for me takes a little while for me to be relaxed and myself during a meet |

how would one go about letting you feel his mind because remember the persons nervous.Just like you would be at the job interview same with a meet because it is an opportunity to have fun and enjoy the other persons company. |

"yes, you can try too hard, be yourself, meets should flow naturally. I think making an effort and trying to hard are different things"
Thats kind of what i meant...of course we turn up suited booted and smelling sweet, and expect the same of anyone we meet. But that is manners as much as anything. |
