What big/ridiculous ideas have you tried/wanted to get off the ground? Did you get the chance to pitch it? If not, pitch it to us.
I'm good at big ideas, but useless at doing things with them. |

There’s quite a few similar ideas as yours being done but in the zombie genre - one even uses an old abandoned shopping precinct.
I’ve had an idea that would revolutionise the industry I work in. I have it all written down, a business plan - know how it would all work and the mechanics of it - but don’t have the computer wizardry to create it. |

That's frustrating, there are companies that would do that for you maybe advertise through social media and some computer geek looking to further his career may help.. |

Zombie malls inspired my Ww2 Larp idea.
Computer wizardry is what is stalling my current idea. I feel your pain. |

You need a USP. What can you offer others to join your cause.
My social club offers the potential for a sense of 'belonging' to a 'Tribe'.
What do I get in exchange for painting? Tea and biscuits? A hug? The opportunity to spend some time in your pleasant company? |

Not my idea, but when i worked as a legal secretary my boss was involved in the legal side of helping pitch a product to well known High Street shops regarding a safety product our client had come up with and dealing with the Copyright and Contract negotiations/financing. It took a few years to actually get the product into the shops. These retailers negotiate the arse off you! And getting funding to produce the product was hard, as was finding someone to produce the product cost effectively.
It put me off having any big ideas as they basically take your idea, tear it to sheeds, tell you to do better, tear that to shreds till you’re a broken shell, and then do such a constricting Contract that it’s a nightmare. Costings was a big issue too.
I admire folk who do it. It’s not easy.

My idea is augmented reality for joggers. There’s no doubt that running is boring so it would be awesome to be able to change the landscape around you, making the buildings look like Tim Burton’s Gotham City or 17th century slums or whatever.

I did pitch an idea to him off the telly (The Apprentice) all about Social Return on Investment. In return for his investment in me, I'd get so many young people into work, volunteering, training and/or further education, which would make them more employable in the future and other stuff around community development/organising and social capital. I withdrew at the request of a local vicar who was worried that it would make the community I worked with at the time vulnerable to the wrong kind of media attention.

Mines nothing amazing but here goes lol.
Last year working in a care home one of our oldest residents passed away, she had no family or friends that we knew of and was living with advanced dementia, she was 104. I spear headed a campaign to find some relatives or friends (I didn’t realise it would go as viral as it did), I then got thinking that while daisy (I am allowed to say her name) died alone (she wasn’t alone she had her ‘carers family around her’), I got thinking of ways to combat loneliness in care homes, you hear so much about befriending services for people in their own homes but never in care homes.
So while I was on the itv news and bbc breakfast I pitched my idea of creating a befriending service to people living in care homes.
A couple of months later after it all had died down, our Facebook page was running a competition for various ideas around our company, that could improve our residents quality of life, so again I pitched my idea to head office and out of the three that was picked my idea won by thousands (pretty sure doughnut accounted for half of them lol), sadly by the time the results had been announced I had a week left at my job so I don’t know what happened next but it’s a passion of mine. |

How would you get the glasses, goggles to stay on..? Would you script each town a certain way? or overlap a theme? I'd run faster if it felt like I was being hunted |

And mine.. Though loneliness extends beyond the care home.. kind of what my Tribe idea is supposed to help combat. It's include the young and elderly. Make them part of the clan. |

The glasses would be lightweight, it wouldn’t need to be as bulky as a virtual reality headset because it doesn’t need to totally enclose the person’s vision.
It wouldn’t script each place, it would be like those Instagram filters that recognise a face and where to put the dog’s ears, glasses or whatever and paste images when it recognises stuff. When it sees a doorway, a zombie could stumble out, that kind of thing |

If I won a substantial amount on the Euromillions I'd set up a Vietnam war themed paintball site, the markers and playing kit would be replicas of period weapons and uniforms, the "safe zone" would be a replica of a US firebase complete with sandbagged bunkers and have hidden speakers belting out the 60's 'nam classics and combat radio transmissions to set the scene, and the game zones would be themed with things like a downed helicopter rescue mission (with actual Huey helicopter wreck for authenticity) or NVA outpost attack and defend game etc. I'd keep it non political so as not to upset folk but I think it would be awesome. I was a regular paintballer for over a decade and have military experience so reckon I could make a success of it with the funds to do it properly! |

Not the grandest idea but I’m hoping to start building up my own property development business in the next five years.
The plan would be for my partner to not have to work full time, provide everything my daughter needs and have a nice retirement at 55.
That’d do me nicely |

Not quite the same but there is a running app on the play store called "Zombies, run!" where you plug your headphones in and zombies chase you, it has a storyline and it gives you missions which involve running to certain places and "collecting" things before running back to base. If you start getting slow or stop the noise of the zombie horse starts getting louder and if you look on your phone you can see them getting closer on your map, it's a fun way to get fit! |
