"Flights going to be around £700 (BBC news).
If so, that's just as much of a piss take.
It's fucking wrong."
It's business
Margins are tight for a lot of airlines
They need to milk the market where they can
I'm sure the hotels in Madrid will be rubbing their hands too |

Factor in 75% of tickets are priced at £154 and its at a tipping point for me whether I go or not. I'm a pretty committed reds fan but a 3 day trip is going to be around £1000 or a night in town watching it in a bar with mates £100. |

BTW - there are still flights from Germany to Madrid for under £150 return
Try booking flights from there and book UK to Germany seperately
Don't book one ticket to Madrid starting in the UK and going via somewhere else - they'll be on to that too
You'd need to book the UK to Europe and Europe to Madrid flights seperately to see any real benefit
Cheap(ish) internal flights within Spain too if you can find any from your local airport to anywhere else in Spain that weekend
As the final is at a weekend, flights will already be at a premium because of the weekend travel market |

The hotels in Cardiff smacked their prices up when we had the final here. For some selfish reason that didn't bother me as much. |

The travel business relies on it to make ends meet or to maximise their margins
I looked at a weekend in Nuremberg in January
Hotel price for Fri night was £760 whereas Sat & Sun was £85 a night
Reason : An I.T. trade show was on on the Friday, but not over the weekend
It's not just footy fans that get milked |

I’ve been a Spurs member for years and the ticketing for finals is a joke. It’s all corporate now in whatever final a team plays. And the flights out there are ridiculous. I’d want to fly first class for those prices. I’m thinking of driving down there |

"Spurs and Liverpool fans only get 16,600 each. . Disgraceful
Who are Spurs going to give the other 15,000 to?
All joking aside, it's ridiculous and wrong."
Cheeky fucker . There’ll be more yids than bin dippers out there |
