Probably more to with the pressures people are under, lack of affordable housing, stagnating wages (in terms of inflation), degradation of working T&Cs etc. I think there are a lot of modern factors affecting people libido.

It depends what each thing has to offer

I've read book and seen series on Netflix and that are far better than some of the sex I've had from here

You cant fast forward to the next episode, cant rewind to a good bit, pause the bit where you have no idea what's happening or fast forward the mundane features! Or even experience a great episode over and over again!
