Oh my lord!! Anfield... !!

Re-confirmed why Liverpool is the best English team representing in Europe. That was better then Utd beating PSG and Spurs beating City combined!! 1% is the only opportunity they needed... and my God they took it... even many of their own fans had written them off! But the ones at the stadium believed...

The heart, determination, passion. Never giving up attitude... flippin heck! What a night and well deserved. For those that seen the previous threads will know I don't want L'pool to win due to my competitive nature and being a Man Utd fan, but credit has to be given to L'pool.

I know many struggle to put rivalry aside and that is understandable if kept at a healthy level... but with a result like that tonight we can all appreciate an awesome football performance.

So many talking points, but that winning goal... how cheeky was that!! Barca were sleeping!!

Enjoy it L'pool fans and don't forget to share some links for us as a reminder

Side note:

Spurs/Poch may have some more problems in future... not sure, but something I heard. Will post on that tomorrow.

It's all over to L'pool right now.

Wowzer!!

thats the interesting bit... after liverpool losing 3-0 last week (and at the death it could have been 4) you actually couldn't say that liverpool played badly... stretches of that game they were the far better team...

as soon as that 2nd went in, you could almost seen the barcelona players having flashbacks to the way they fell apart against PSG, and last year against roma.....

for as good as they are, my god they are fragile....

for as good as they are, my god they are fragile...."

I agree, part of the problem is that once that fragility is there, its very hard to lose it, as a spurs fan, I feel I'm speaking from experience!

The noise coming from Barcelona is definitely that they feel that they lost it rather than Liverpool winning. To my mind that's rather a sad thing to be saying, as CL semi and losing to last years finalists is hardly a cause for concern for any other team.

"Wow!! Incredible turnaround well played Liverpool!

Wow what a nice bum too

You mean to tell me you’ve only just noticed Roxi’s arse?

Yeh to be honest (what an asset) lol

Ha ha it appears Roxi has provided a much needed distraction with her asset for those suffering in here!

I have now forgotten what i was going to post so will come back later!... "

I wonder how much people will put it down to Liverpool stifling Barcelona or to Barca choking?

thats the interesting bit... after liverpool losing 3-0 last week (and at the death it could have been 4) you actually couldn't say that liverpool played badly... stretches of that game they were the far better team...

as soon as that 2nd went in, you could almost seen the barcelona players having flashbacks to the way they fell apart against PSG, and last year against roma.....

for as good as they are, my god they are fragile....

I agree, part of the problem is that once that fragility is there, its very hard to lose it, as a spurs fan, I feel I'm speaking from experience!

For those that follow football know Spurs struggle and are amongst one of the most fragile teams. I am going to share something later on Poch... hope it's not true!

As for Barca they would say that... yes it was in their hands, but even though home record is great their away record is poor... they really do struggle against strong opposition...

The facts are Liverpool outplayed them... had much more energy... dominated them to the point where their legs had lactic acid... they were stunned... couldn't keep up with the pace! I can go on and on, but I will be posting one final post for buzzing L'pool fans with a special link...

Oh before I forget... not only do L'pool have an identity about the way they play that special connection with the fans at Anfield my word... Klopp knows how to tap into that! They are the firm favourites now so let's see if they can actually win it... eek!

Side note:

Postponing gym for today because L'pool fans will be out in force. Seen as happiness is a natural energy booster I can't be dealing with them lifting more weights. As much as I enjoy socialising, I don't love it that much. Waiting another 24hrs for them to cool down...

Special post with link coming up...

You hit the nail on the head with the fan connection. Klopp has us believing in him and the team big time, thus the support is there and the team feeds off it. Liverpool do have a special bond with managers I'd say, much more than other teams.

@_edmark07 - I knew about Klopp before he came to L'pool and he is one of those genuine managers that truly loves the club/fans and believes great things can happen. That is why I was saying I like his style in the previous threads. He is not only building for now, but the future... damn it don't the rest of us hate it when good things are happening at other clubs!! Grrr-ing

Right last post for this lot, not that they need anymore hype! My friends have gone feckin crazy... I had to cut off a few phone calls... jeez but one persistent fucker as a lifelong L'pool fan he loves his team so much he sent me a special link... this ain't healthy rivalry you know...

There are unlimited number of clips right now, but check out the fitting title for this one... the clip shows both ties in under 4mins... here is the clincher though... dramatic music to go with it because it really was that intense!! Fuckers

One of your five a day for today L'pool fans... take it all in and enjoy because miracles do happen!

Over to Sensational Spurs now...

As football fans we know this is another touchy subject. After tonight we will know if it will be Spursy of the "norm" or will they kick things up a notch and go to an even higher status...

Many examples, but two major ones:

That year when Leicester won the title, Spurs were chasing and Kane was saying "coming for the foxes" they ended up 3rd behind Arsenal! Leicester were much more focused and I rate Vardy highly... he is in top 5 for goals scored this season!

World Cup!! Most of the players were from Spurs and the arguement was why the heck were they representing us when they never win anything... they don't know what it feels like or have the "know how" to get over the finish line... other players should have been involved etc

Current times:

Poch... great manager, but I heard (not confirmed as I need to double/triple verify from different sources) he said if they happen to win CL he will move on! Wtf... hang on... he will leave and take advantage of that to get in elsewhere... does he think Spurs are not really going to win anything in future? Is he running low on patience!?

Spurs need him to build for the future because without him it could be back out of the top 6!

As for the game tonight...

Son is back! I have already stated my opinions/views... the time is now! Build on the momentum... Ajax is a tough team, but if Spurs go up a gear and get inspiration from last night... they will be in the final.

Never mind the haters/rivalry. Let's have an all English final. Looking forward to tonight. Whatever you do... don't touch that remote

Poch 'insinuated' that yes, I have a feeling that he's playing a touch of mind games and deflecting the headlines away from the team.

As for the 'spursy' tag, I think that this team has done more than enough to show their grit and determination, lesser teams would have melted in the group stages, let alone against the best of Germany and England...

Will tonight be another turn around? I really can't call it.

Poch was joking and no need to double/triple check it - he said it at a news conference and was a tongue in cheek reference to if he managed to achieve that with a team that have been written off that he doesn't need to do anything more.

Now come on you Spurs - make us proud

Final pre match post/thoughts...

In a previous thread someone mentioned something along the lines of Son was "ineffective" in their recent games... then he had a red card after that in another match... losses... oh the shame... I also read Spurs are "cooked"

Here is my reply:

I have experience in being lucky enough to play in South Korean tournaments... still proud to have my kit from those days I know how they think and the work rate/ethic is unbelievable. They thrive in high pressure games! Knowing Son as he is and with the quality/talent... he will leave everything on the pitch for his team and he is the decider...

Follow on...

Kane back in the final against Liverpool. Even though Liverpool will feel like they can take on any team right now they will fancy Ajax more in the final. The style of play will go in there favour.

Plus...

Final is not at Anfield. In a one off game between Spurs and L'pool... oooft... the entertainment value in that... jeez it could go either way...

Let us all witness an epic all English final. Come on Spurs/Son you can be a part of history making action. You got this...

Although it is good to have Son back for this leg, Spurs is not a one person team. They all need to up their game tonight as a few have been missing in the last month. Give it their all, but most importantly keep their heads.

For me it’s a 1-2 win tonight and Spurs going through on away goals

Need to believe.... COYS !!
